Obama's Cousin and his Relationship with the Iranian President

No. Not cousin Dale. The other cousin, Raila Odinga. The one who took power in Kenya by making pacts with Muslim extremists that included establishing Shariah law and imposing Muslim dress codes. The one Obama helped get elected. It looks like Obama's cousin and Iranian President Gilligan are as thick as thieves.

In 2009, this happened:
Kenya and Iran have agreed to establish Specialised Working Groups to accelerate the implementation of signed agreements and memoranda of understanding between the two countries.

These include Economic, Trade and Banking Co-operation, Agricultural and Educational Cooperation, Energy, Oil and Industry Cooperation; and Political, Cultural, Health and Housing Cooperation.

The two countries also underscored the importance of expanding economic, political, cultural and international ties and welcomed the exchange of high-ranking delegations.

The resolutions are part of a joint communiqué signed by Kenya and Iran to further consolidate and strengthen relations between the two countries. The first vice-president Dr Parviz Davoudi signed on behalf of Iran while Prime Minister Raila Odinga committed Kenya.
Odinga concluded his two-day official visit to Tehran by holding talks with Iran ian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
The two men met again at a March, 2011 meeting in Tehran.

They hugged one another...

So here you have Obama's cousin, a hands on friend of Ahmedinejad, who has business relations with Iran.  And we are not to suspect that this relationship effects Obama's stance on Iran?  Remembering that Obama helped Odinga get elected?

And in case you were unaware, here's some background on Obama's Kenyan family...

Obama's older brother Roy is a Luo activist, militant Muslim and a Marxist.

Obama's older brother, Abongo "Roy" Obama, said: "The black man must liberate himself from the poisoning influences of European culture."

Barack Obama is proud of his brother, Abongo ‘Roy’ Obama, who converted to Islam from Christianity

Obama wrote this about Roy, the man who thinks the black man must liberate himself from the poisoning influences of European culture: "Abongo's new lifestyle has left him lean and clear-eyed, and at the wedding, he looked so dignified in his black African gown with white trim and matching cap that so me of our guests mistook him for my father,"

Kenyan opposition leader Raila Odinga and Barack Obama are cousins.

Raila Odinga's oldest son, Fidel, is named after Fidel Castro.

Obama appears to have sided with opposition leader Raila Odinga, head of the same Luo tribe Obama's late Muslim father belonged. Obama interrupted his New Hampshire campaigning to speak with Odinga by phone, not to the newly elected president of Kenya, Mwai Kibaki

Raila Odinga has made a pact with a hard-line Islamic group in Kenya to establish Shariah courts throughout the country. He has vowed to ban booze, pork and impose Muslim dress codes on women, moves which are also favored by Obama's brother

Obama campaigned for Odinga in August of 2006,just before he filed with the US Federal Elections Commission for his presidential candidacy.

When Obama went to Kenya in August of 2006, he was hosted by Raila and spoke in praise of him at rallies in Nairobi.

When Odinga and his Luo activists lost the election to Kibaki, he yelled election fraud, and put his Luo Islamofascists into the streets of Nairobi to “protest” by murdering, raping and maiming Kikuyu people, including the burning alive of a church full of Christians.

Raila Odinga has, in his own words, a "close personal friendship" with Barrack Hussein Obama Junior.

Obama’s cousin Raila Odinga also ran as the agent of change candidate in Kenya 2007, as you can see on his campaign web site. As an East German trained socialist, and son of a well-known socialist father, Raila Odinga pursues heavy handed socialism in Africa.

Kenya has recently sought to strengthen its ties with Iran.
Indeed, during the last two-three years, Iran has made serious efforts to expand its strategic presence and influence in East Africa, especially Kenya, whose government is looking forward for Iranian investments. In 2009, during the visit of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to Kenya with a delegation of Iranian businessmen he signed 13 agreements between the two countries.
It seems, however, that Iran is also interested in advancing the Shiite religious presence in Kenya. The Kenyan Shia cleric, Morteza Morteza, said that "the number of Shia Muslims has sharply increased, and a lot of Kenyans became familiar with this honorable school of thought.
Iran's relationship with Kenya has been described as such:
Foreign ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said that “given the good and brotherly relations between Iran and Kenya...
Folks.  There's a stinky fish here.  Relatives of Obama are politically and economically dependent on Iran, who seeks to advance it's Shiite Muslim ideology in Africa.  And we have a president who refuses to take a hard-line stance against Iran.

America elected a foreign nationalist as President.  This is what we get in return.

Iran Discovers Spy Rock Near Nuclear Facility

Yes, but they haven't found the spy bush.  Continue mission...
A spy device camouflaged as a rock exploded when it came into contact with Iranian troops near an underground nuclear enrichment plant, The Sunday Times reported this week. [...]
The guards, who had been on patrol to check terminals connecting data and telephone links to the site, reportedly witnessed the disguised spy device exploding when they came into contact with it.

West Using Weather Machine to Create Drought in Iran

So says Mahmoud.
Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says that Western countries are plotting to generate drought in some areas of the world, including Iran.

“According to reports about climate, whose authenticity has been verified, the European countries have used certain equipment to discharge clouds and prevent rain-bearing clouds from reaching regional countries such as Iran,” President Ahmadinejad said on Thursday.

Ahmadinejad said the matter would be pursued by Iran's legal authorities, IRNA reported.

Iranians Protest for Freedom - Obama Says...

Nothing.  He doesn't say a damn thing.
Iranian police have fired tear gas at opposition supporters participating in a rally in the centre of the capital, Tehran, called in solidarity with the popular uprisings in Egypt and Tunisia.
A BBC producer, who was affected by the gas, said there had been severe clashes and described a scene of "total chaos".
There were also reports of protests in the cities of Isfahan and Shiraz.
Consistency of thought would require Obama to demand the Iranian regime step down.  I haven't heard that demand.

This Is So Not Good

Yes those sanctions are working like a charm!

Iran is planning to place medium-range missiles on Venezuelan soil, based on western information sources[1], according to an article in the German daily, Die Welt, of November 25, 2010. According to the article, an agreement between the two countries was signed during the last visit o Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez to Tehran on October19, 2010. The previously undisclosed contract provides for the establishment of a jointly operated military base in Venezuela, and the joint development of ground-to-ground missiles.

[...]

The situation that is unfolding in Venezuela has some resemblance to the Cuba crisis of 1962. At that time, Cuba was acting on behalf of the USSR; now Venezuela is acting on behalf of Iran. At present, the geopolitical situation is very different: the world is no longer ruled by two superpowers; new nations, often with questionable leaders and the ambition of acquiring global status, are appearing on the international scene. Their danger to the free world will be greater if the process of nuclear proliferation is not stopped. Among the nations that aspire to become world powers, Iran has certainly the best capabilities of posing a challenge to the West.

[...]

Nowadays, however, we do not see the same firmness from the present administration. On the contrary, we see a lax attitude, both in language and in deeds, that results in extending hands when our adversaries have no intention of shaking hands with us. Iran is soon going to have a nuclear weapon, and there are no signs that UN sanctions will in any way deter the Ayatollah's regime from completing its nuclear program. We know that Iran already has missiles that can carry an atomic warhead over Israel and over the Arabian Peninsula. Now we learn that Iran is planning to build a missile base close to the US borders. How longer do we have to wait before the Obama administration begins to understand threats?

Compare. . .

. . .and contrast.

This took place outside the Iranian embassy yesterday in Copenhagen. Multiple Sources are claiming that the man egged was the Iranian Ambassador. One source claims it was one of the ambassador's security officials. Funny nonetheless. The crowd is shouting "Get lost you mercenary!"

Iran Invades Iraq

Interesting. And what if they don't leave? What if, indeed?

Iranian forces took control of a southern Iraqi oil well on a disputed section of the border on Friday, US and Iraqi officials told AFP. "There has been no violence related to this incident and we trust this will be resolved through peaceful diplomacy between the governments of Iraq and Iran," a US military spokesman told AFP at Contingency Operating Base Adder, just outside the southern Iraqi city of Nasiriyah.
"The oil field is in disputed territory in between Iranian and Iraqi border forts," he said, adding that such incidents occur quite frequently. An official of the state-owned South Oil Co in the southeastern city of Amara, and west of the field, said: "An Iranian force arrived at the field early this morning (Friday). "It took control of Well 4 and raised the Iranian flag even though the well lies in Iraqi territory," the official added.
The field is about 500 metres (yards) from an Iranian border fort and about 1 kilometre from an Iraqi border fort, US Colonel Peter Newell said, adding that it falls on the Iraqi side of a border agreed between the two countries. There are five other similar fields that also fall into disputed territory, he said.
"What happens is, periodically, about every three or four months, the oil ministry guys from Iraq will go ... to fix something or do some maintenance. They'll paint it in Iraqi colours and throw an Iraqi flag up. "They'll hang out there for a while, until they get tired, and as soon as they go away, the Iranians come down the hill and paint it Iranian colours and raise an Iranian flag. It happened about three months ago and it will probably happen again." He added that the Iraqis are "very concerned about the Iranians pulling oil out of fields underneath Iraq."

"Allah Akhbar...Now Let's Fire Our New Long Range Missile"

Yep.  That's how it went down in Iran today.  Ain't they heard?  Hope and change is here.

Meanwhile...on the Western front...Why can't we kill more Al Qaeda big wigs? Because Obama won't let us.

A clandestine CIA search-and-destroy program, which launches missile strikes from remotely piloted drone aircraft, has killed more than a dozen senior leaders of Al Qaeda during the last two years. Among the dead: Abu Khabab al-Masri, reputed to be Al Qaeda's top expert on weapons of mass destruction, and Baitullah Mehsud, leader of the Pakistani Taliban and reputed mastermind of the murder of Benazir Bhutto. U.S. government spokesmen won't even confirm the program's existence, but a U.S. national-security official—who, like others cited in this article, declined to be named talking about sensitive information—says the program has been so successful that some counterterrorism officials want to expand it. They say the drones have been effective not just in killing terrorists but also in keeping them on the run and disrupting their ability to plan new attacks. They have asked for authority to target terrorists in more densely populated areas of Pakistan.
One person standing in the way of expanded missile strikes: President Obama. Five administration officials tell NEWSWEEK that the president has sided with political and diplomatic advisers who argue that widening the scope of the drone attacks would be risky and unwise. Obama is concerned that firing missiles into urban areas like Quetta, where intelligence reports suggest that Taliban leader Mullah Mohammed Omar and other high-level militants have sometimes taken shelter, would greatly increase the risk of civilian casualties.

Russia Laughs at Obama's "Secret" Letter on Iran - Obama Exchanging Secret Emails with Medvedev

First, why is Obama writing "secret" letters? I thought this was to be the most transparent administration ever. Second, just what does the letter say? Russia, says it's a quid pro quo offer to abandon the missile defense system if Russia cooperates on Iranian nukes. If this is true, this shows an astounding lack of comprehension of Russia's involvement in Iran. To think they would forgo their petrol alliance with Iran for the removal of an unproven missile defense system is nothing short of idiotic. Besides, what leverage does Obama have? He's already on record as not favoring the missile defense system. Russia already knows he doesn't support it. Does he think they're inexperienced and misguided as he is?

From NY Daily News:

President Obama wrote Russia's president suggesting the U.S. would scrap a missile defense system in Eastern Europe if Moscow helps stop Iran from building nukes and missiles, it was reported Monday.

The letter to Dmitry Medvedev was hand-delivered about three weeks after Obama took office, said The New York Times.

Officials who knew what was in it said Obama told Medvedev the U.S. wouldn't need to go ahead with the interceptor system if Tehran stopped developing long-range weapons.

Russia has opposed the system since it was proposed during the Bush administration.
Here is a report from Russia that makes it clear that they're not going to trade their petrol investments in Iran for anything related to the missile defense system.

Did you catch that? Obama is exchanging emails with Russian President Medvedev. And we haven't seen them. I'm calling BS on all this transparency fluff. Obama is proving to be a dangerously ignorant human being.

While we're on the topic of Obama' complete lack of understanding of Russia's motivation, there is this very alarming story from the Kyiv Post:
Georgia's defence minister appealed to the West to halt what he said was a continuing Russian military buildup in two breakaway Georgian regions, adding that a fresh Russian attack "cannot be ruled out".

The Kremlin recognised Abkhazia and South Ossetia as independent states in the wake of last year's five-day war between Russia and Georgia, when Moscow smashed a Georgian assault on South Ossetia.

Defence Minister David Sikharulidze told Reuters in an interview late on Monday that Russia's war aim had been "regime change", but it had failed. Moscow's continued military buildup in the absence of international monitoring meant the situation "remains fragile", he said.

The minister said Tbilisi had observed activity at the site of a proposed Russian naval base in the breakaway Black Sea territory of Abkhazia and understood that a Soviet-era military base near the Abkhaz resort town of Gudauta was "fully operational" and under Russian control.
What are the odds that Obama would hang Georgia out to dry? Pretty good if his past track record is any indication.

Do the Iranians Have Secrets About Obama's Marine One Helicopter?

This wouldn't surprise me in the least. Hell, they probably got them off his Blackberry.

Pittsburgh TV station WPXI is reporting the details:

Target 11 has learned a Cranberry company that monitors peer-to-peer file-sharing networks discovered what it said is a potentially serious security breach involving President Barack Obama’s helicopter.

Tiversa employees found engineering and communications information about Marine One at an IP address in Tehran, Iran.

Bob Boback, CEO of Tiversa, said, ”We found a file containing entire blueprints and avionics package for Marine One,which is the president's helicopter."

The company was able to trace the file back to its original source.

"What appears to be a defense contractor in Bethesda, MD had a file sharing program on one of their systems that also contained highly sensitive blueprints for Marine One," Boback said.

Tiversa also found sensitive financial information about the cost of the helicopter on that same computer.

Retired Gen. Wesley Clark, an adviser to Tiversa, said, "We found where this information came from. We know exactly what computer it came from. I'm sure that person is embarrassed and may even lose their job, but we know where it came from and we know where it went."

Iran is not the only country that appears to be accessing this type of information through file-sharing programs.

“We've noticed it out of Pakistan, Yemen, Qatar, and China. They are actively searching for information that is disclosed in this fashion because it is a great source of intelligence,” Boback said.
What do you expect to happen when you entrust National Security issues to Wesley Clark and Cranberry companies? It appears the Iranians know more about the parameters of Marine One than Obama does.

Iran Says Obama's Offer to Talk Shows US is a Failure

Now isn't this exactly how conservatives told Obama the Iranians would view his offers to talk? He was out of his mind to think Iran would succumb to his hope and change charm. Sometimes I really think Obama is deliberately trying to harm the United States.

US President Barack Obama's offer to talk to Iran shows that America's policy of "domination" has failed, the government spokesman said on Saturday.

"This request means Western ideology has become passive, that capitalist thought and the system of domination have failed," Gholam Hossein Elham was quoted as saying by the Mehr news agency.

"Negotiation is secondary, the main issue is that there is no way but for (the United States) to change," he added.

After nearly three decades of severed ties, Obama said shortly after taking office this month that he is willing to extend a diplomatic hand to Tehran if the Islamic republic is ready to "unclench its fist".

In response, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad launched a fresh tirade against the United States, demanding an apology for its "crimes" against Iran and saying he expected "deep and fundamental" change from Obama.

Iranian politicians frequently refer to the US administration as the "global arrogance", "domineering power" and "Great Satan".

Tensions with the United States have soared over Iran's nuclear drive and Ahmadinejad's vitriolic verbal attacks against Washington's close regional ally Israel.

Former US president George W. Bush refused to hold talks with the Islamic republic -- which he dubbed part of an "axis of evil" -- unless it suspended uranium enrichment, and never took a military option to thwart Tehran's atomic drive off the table.

The new administration of Obama has also refused to rule out any options -- including military strikes -- to stop Tehran from acquiring a nuclear weapon.

Iran denies any plans to build the bomb and insists its nuclear programme is solely aimed at peaceful ends.

Revealed: Obama's Letter to Iran - World Peace is Just a Stamp Away

I'll be damned! He is going to change the world.

Officials of Barack Obama's administration have drafted a letter to Iran from the president aimed at unfreezing US-Iranian relations and opening the way for face-to-face talks, the Guardian has learned.

The US state department has been working on drafts of the letter since Obama was elected on 4 November last year. It is in reply to a lengthy letter of congratulations sent by the Iranian president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, on 6 November.

Diplomats said Obama's letter would be a symbolic gesture to mark a change in tone from the hostile one adopted by the Bush administration, which portrayed Iran as part of an "axis of evil".

It would be intended to allay the suspicions of Iran's leaders and pave the way for Obama to engage them directly, a break with past policy.

State department officials have composed at least three drafts of the letter, which gives assurances that Washington does not want to overthrow the Islamic regime, but merely seeks a change in its behaviour. The letter would be addressed to the Iranian people and sent directly to Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, or released as an open letter.

One draft proposal suggests that Iran should compare its relatively low standard of living with that of some of its more prosperous neighbours, and contemplate the benefits of losing its pariah status in the west. Although the tone is conciliatory, it also calls on Iran to end what the US calls state sponsorship of terrorism.

The letter is being considered by the new secretary of state, Hillary Clinton, as part of a sweeping review of US policy on Iran. A decision on sending it is not expected until the review is complete.
Meanwhile...Back at the ranch. Ahmadinejad has also expressed interest in saving the world.
Iran's president called Wednesday for "profound changes" in U.S. foreign policy including an end to support for Israel and an apology to the Islamic republic for past misdeeds.

"Change means giving up support for the rootless, uncivilized, fabricated, murdering ... Zionists and letting the Palestinian nation decide its own destiny," Ahmadinejad said. "Change means putting an end to U.S. military presence in (different parts of) the world."

Wait, there's more:
Despite openings announced by US president Barack Obama, Iran will not halt its nuclear programme. Sources within the presidency made the announcement.

During an interview in Teheran's government offices, Ahmadinejad's counsellor Aliakbar Javanfekr stated that Iran has no intention of stopping its nuclear activities, which are "peaceful and controlled by IAEA". To those citing the UN resolution asking for the suspension of uranium enriching activities, Javanfekr replied that "we are past that stage. We rejected the resolutions, which were developed under US pressure. We work in the context of international laws". He also defined sanctions imposed on Iran as "ineffective".
Yeah, well, Iran says that now. But they haven't got "the letter" yet. So we got that going for us.

Iranian Hamas Unit Gets Torched by the IDF

You keep training them, and they'll keep killing them.

Palestinian sources reported Thursday that the "Iranian Unit" of Hamas, members of the group's military wing trained by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, had been destroyed.

According to the sources, most of the unit's members were killed in fighting in the Zeytun neighborhood, where they had been deployed by the military leadership of Hamas.

The unit numbered approximately 100 men who had traveled to Iran and Hezbollah camps, mostly in the Beka'a Valley, where they were trained in infantry fighting tactics. The militants were also trained in the use of anti-tank missiles, the detonation of explosives, among other skills.

They managed to return to the Gaza Strip through tunnels in the Rafah border area, although a few also crossed during one of the few times that Egypt agreed to open the border crossing as a gesture of good will to Hamas.

The same sources also noted that Iran is preparing for an end to the fighting, at which point they want to send money to the Gaza Strip in order to assist Hamas in rebuilding destroyed homes - but also restore its military capabilities.
