Nothing would satisfy me more than to see Turkey launch a large scale incursion into Syria after the recent Syrian shelling that killed five Turkish citizens and retaliatory salvos into Syria by the Turkish military.
The entire region would have a collective stroke and then all bets would be off with any of the current long-standing, but tenuous alliances between the various kingdoms, governments, religious sects and dictatorships.
Maybe Turkey can be the spark in the tinderbox. It's not that I want a regional conflict, but these people have been killing each other over less serious issues for thousands of years. The Sunnis don't like the Shiites, the Alawites don't like the Ba'athists, the Persians don't like the Saudis, nobody likes the Jews and so on and so on and so on. They need to get on with it.
And I'll just sit back and enjoy the show. Let these uneducated, brainwashed, psychopathic, ideological cowards fight it out to the death. Throw in the whacked out North African tribesmen and it'll be a full-blown catastrophe! Love it!
We can parked a few nuke subs around the region and inform them via our new president that the first attack on America or her interests abroad results in catastrophic retaliation. These people respect two things only: their God and the violence that He advocates.
Maybe in the hindsight and falling dust of the aftermath we can pour billions of dollars into their infrastructure and education. The first thing I would teach them is the date. Starting with the year.
This is 2012. Not 212.
Get with the 21st century or else.
