Biden: "The Taliban is Not Our Enemy"

Which begs the question...Who is?
Look, the Taliban per se is not our enemy. That’s critical. There is not a single statement that the president has ever made in any of our policy assertions that the Taliban is our enemy because it threatens U.S. interests. If, in fact, the Taliban is able to collapse the existing government, which is cooperating with us in keeping the bad guys from being able to do damage to us, then that becomes a problem for us.

This?  This is the foreign policy genius touted during Obama's election campaign?

IRAN WILL BE ABLE TO BUILD ITS FIRST NUCLEAR BOMB BY THIS COMING FEBRUARY

I'm sure the world, united behind Obama, will take care of this. So, you know, you and your children have nothing to worry about.

US intelligence’s amended estimate, that Iran will be ready to build its first bomb just one month after the next US president is sworn in, is disclosed by DEBKAfile’s Washington sources as having been relayed as a guideline to the Middle East teams of both presidential candidates, Senators John McCain and Barack Obama.

The information prompted the assertion by Democratic vice presidential nominee Joseph Biden in Seattle Sunday, Oct. 19: “It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy.”

DEBKAfile’s military sources cite the new US timeline: By late January, 2009, Iran will have accumulated enough low-grade enriched uranium (up to 5%) for its “break-out” to weapons grade (90%) material within a short time. For this, the Iranians have achieved the necessary technology. In February, they can move on to start building their first nuclear bomb.

This development together with the galloping global economic crisis will force the incoming US president to go straight into decision-making without pause on Day One in the Oval Office. He will have to determine which urgent measures can serve best for keeping a nuclear bomb out of the Islamic republic’s hands - diplomatic or military – and how to proceed if those measures fail.

His knowledge of the challenge colored Sen. Biden’s additional words in Seattle: “Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”

IF THIS DON'T SCARE THE HELL OUT OF YOU...

Joe Biden saying if Obama is elected, an international crisis will result:

"Mark my words," the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. "It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We're about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don't remember anything else I said. Watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy."

BIDEN: FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP DEADLIER THAN TERRORISM

Silly thing to say. Because if it's true, he can thank George Bush.

Bill Maher: Senator Biden, forgetting about the upcoming Iowa caucus for just a moment, which would you honestly say is more likely to contribute to the death of your average American: a terrorist strike, or high fructose corn syrup, and [sic] air that has too much coal in it?

Joe Biden: Air that has too much coal in it, corn syrup next, then a terrorist attack. But that is not in any way to diminish the fact that a terrorist attack is real. It is not an existential threat to bringing down the country. But it does have the capacity still to kill thousands of people.

But hundreds of thousands of people die and their lives are shortened because of coal plants, coal-fired plants, and because of corn syrup.

HEY JOE BIDEN!...YOU GOT KNOCKED THE FUCK OUT

Awesome performance, all you can say about that...Friggin' Biden...Dude spent the whole time criticizing McCain and not answering any of the questions...came off looking silly...He refused to address Palin's points...He just kept blurting out the Democrat talking points...Palin awesome...Absolutely awesome!...Don't believe anything to the contrary...Started nervous, but man, did she settle in quick and start throwing shots to the gut or what? Charming, endearing...and tough. All wrapped up into one. She made Biden look old, tired, and out of touch. One criticism and one criticism only. Palin should have hammered Biden with his statement about how he would be happy to run on a McCain ticket every time he harped on McCain's past policies. She played that card only once. It should have been a central theme. That would have been great. And I would have thrown in Obama's past comment that McCain has been a "consistent reformer". Sometimes I wonder who is advising his campaign and whether they ever read the conservative blogs.

And I guess the debate didn't end on the note Ifil wanted, because after she said "this is the last question", she asked another.

The most striking rhetoric came from Biden when he said he was taken out of context on not supporting clean coal. Out of context? I don't know, watch this and you tell me? Was he taken out of context?

SWAP BIDEN FOR HILLARY RUMOUR STARTED HERE AT THE BIG FEED HITS THE MAINSTREAM PRESS

Maybe I didn't start it, but maybe I did. I know I was posting this hypothesis as early as 16 days ago:

See here.

And here.

And now, from Fox News:

It’s almost certainly just a case of the telephone game gone high-tech, but there’s an Internet rumor surging through inboxes and discussion boards that Joe Biden will drop out as Barack Obama’s running mate after his Oct. 2 debate with Sarah Palin — and that he’ll be replaced by Hillary Clinton on the Democratic presidential ticket.

The story line goes as follows: John McCain’s selection of Palin has generated so much interest in the Republican ticket that Obama needs to make a radical move to regain momentum. So in the days after the vice presidential candidates debate in Missouri, Biden will bow out, citing “health problems” (Biden underwent surgery in 1988 to repair two brain aneurysms). Enter Clinton.

Furthermore, the story goes, any damage the gaffe-prone Biden does during the debate will be erased by his abrupt exit.

Snopes.com, a site devoted to picking apart online rumors and urban legends, has labeled the status of the claim “undetermined.” Several online discussion boards have been loaded up with denials.

Biden has caused a few hiccups for the Obama campaign. On Monday, he had to issue a clarification after he called one of his own campaign ads “terrible” in an interview with CBS News. He also faced a rebuke from Obama after he spoke out against the government bailout of American International Group last week before Obama was ready to take a position.

BRIT HUME GIVES A RUN DOWN ON JUST HOW PROFOUNDLY RETARDED BIDEN AND DEMOCRATS ARE

Can you hear the left crying "conspiracy"?...Too bad there the ones doing it to themselves

BIDEN "NO COAL"...OBAMA: "NOT REALLY COAL"..."BUT YEAH OK...COAL IS GOOD"

Here's Biden saying no coal...

And here's Obama saying yes to clean coal...kinda...Can he waffle anymore?

And then there's Obama's own website stating what his new position on coal is...

"Develop and Deploy Clean Coal Technology.

Obama’s Department of Energy will enter into public private partnerships to develop five “first-of-a-kind” commercial scale coal-fired plants with clean carbon capture and sequestration technology."
Someone is lying here. Are the American people so stupid as to trust these two imbeciles?

OBAMA'S ISLAND

From The People's Cube:

Obama's Isle
By Comrade Tovarich
Inspired by the Ballad of Gilligan's Island by George Wyle and Sherwood Shwartz

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale,
A tale of a frightful trip
That started from Chicago's port
The One a political blip.

The Dean was a mighty doctor man,
Billary brave and sure.
Our candidates set sail that day
For a four year rule, a four year rule.

Party unity started getting rough,
Race and sex lines were crossed,
If not for the backing of the biased press,
The Party could be lost, the Party could be lost.

The winner came down to Hope and Change, an inexperienced profile
That's Obama
Joe Biden, too,
The "First Black Pres" and his wife,
The movie stars
Rev' 'Em Wright and Ayers, man,
Here on "Obama's Isle."

So this is the tale of today's Dems,
They were a cinch back before Palin's time,
They'll have to make the best of things,
It's now a real climb.

Obama and stale Biden, too,
Will do their very best,
To make voters uncomfortable.
Topics: despair and hopelessness.

No phone, no lights, no motor cars,
Not a single luxury,
For everyone but Al Gore,
Thank Bush's non-Green economy.

So join us here each week, comrades.
You're sure to get a smile,
From truths, justice, and throw-aways (under buses),
Here on "Obama's Isle."

BIDEN TAKES CREDIT FOR IRAQ SUCCESS

Not unbelievable...Expected. Look at him fight the notion of success every step of the way. He invested his political future on defeat in Iraq. We won. And now Joe's defeatist chickens are coming home to roost.

BIDEN NOW SAYS LIFE BEGINS AT CONCEPTION: IS THIS AN ADMISSION HE HAS ADVOCATED MURDER ALL THESE YEARS?

The Obama/Biden camp is in trouble...and they know it. Biden states life begins at conception, but apparently, still supports pro choice. Isn't that murder? Is this the ruse they use to sack Biden and bring in Hillary as the VP candidate? I'm telling you, there's a 50-50 chance Biden gets canned and Hillary gets brought in. A departing from the party line on abortion is just the way to get yourself fired and have the "party" approve of the firing.
Senator Joseph R. Biden Jr., the Democratic nominee for vice president, departed Sunday from party doctrine on abortion rights, declaring that as a Catholic, he believes life begins at conception. But the Delaware senator added that he would not impose his personal views on others, and had indeed voted against curtailing abortion rights and against criminalizing abortion.
Here is a list of Biden's stances on abortion:

** Allow women to choose, but no federal funding. (Jul 2007)
**No public funding for abortion; it imposes a view. (Apr 2007)
**Supports partial-birth abortion ban, but not undoing Roe. (Apr 2007)
**Accepts Catholic church view that life begins at conception. (Apr 2007)
**Nominees should agree on constitutional right to privacy. (Apr 2007)
**Voted NO on defining unborn child as eligible for SCHIP. (Mar 2008)
**Voted NO on prohibiting minors crossing state lines for abortion. (Mar 2008)
**Voted YES on expanding research to more embryonic stem cell lines. (Apr 2007)
**Voted NO on notifying parents of minors who get out-of-state abortions. (Jul 2006)
**Voted YES on $100M to reduce teen pregnancy by education & contraceptives. (Mar 2005)
**Voted NO on criminal penalty for harming unborn fetus during other crime. (Mar 2004)
**Voted NO on maintaining ban on Military Base Abortions. (Jun 2000)
**Voted YES on banning partial birth abortions. (Oct 1999)
**Voted NO on banning human cloning. (Feb 1998)
**Rated 36% by NARAL, indicating a mixed voting record on abortion. (Dec 2003)
**Expand embryonic stem cell research. (Jun 2004)
**Rated 0% by the NRLC, indicating a pro-choice stance. (Dec 2006)
**Ensure access to and funding for contraception. (Feb 2007)
