I woke up this morning with an important question weighing on my mind. I fed the cats and stood out on the porch listening to the brrrrrring of the crickets and gleep gleep gleep of the tree frogs while I drank my coffee. I just couldn't shake it, this strange feeling, I just had to know. I had to know what the heck is going on in Abilene.
Well, let's see!
Via Reporter News Abilene:
A Trent man sentenced to 17 years in prison Friday explained at his hearing that he sexually molested five girls because he was giving them instructions of what "bad touches" were.
During a lengthy sentencing hearing held in the 350th District Court, James Wayne Holt, 57, took the stand in his own defense, and asked for a chance to rehabilitate himself while on probation.
In April, Holt pleaded guilty to three counts of indecency with a child. As a part of the plea agreement, prosecutors agreed to drop three criminal charges against Holt.
Prosecutor Dan Joiner asked Judge Thomas Wheeler on Friday to sentence Holt to 40 years in prison. In a video played to Judge Wheeler, Holt told authorities during questioning at the Taylor County Sheriff's Office he pulled down the pants of one girl because he was "curious."
In other instances, Holt said he fondled himself with a tiara on his penis and took pictures of his underage victims as evidence that he didn't do anything to them.
At the time of his arrest, multiple images of inappropriate sexual activity ranging from child pornography to incest were found on his home computer, authorities said.
Holt acknowledged committing the offenses, but said in court that he did so for educational purposes. Joiner said Holt victimized one girl at least twice in 2007 and again in 2011.
People such as this sub-human character should be given a choice. He can sit with me at a table while I watch him eat three pounds of castor beans so I can watch him writhe in pain until possible death by poisoning.
Or he can put his favorite tiara on his little tee-tee and let me shoot him in the nuts with my .44 magnum.
Anyway, that is what's happening in Abilene.
