Ben and Jerry's Now Making Gay Ice Cream
The logical next step I guess. They've gone from making ice cream gay to making gay ice cream.
The folks at Vermont-based ice cream–maker Ben & Jerry's have renamed their signature Chubby Hubby flavor "Hubby Hubby" to mark today's enactment of the state's new law that allows same-sex marriage.
A Hubby Hubby sundae will be available in Vermont Ben & Jerry's scoop shops during the month of September.
The Chubby Hubby packaging in grocery stores nationwide will remain unchanged and as heteronormative as ever.
Lesbians, sorry: No "Wifey Wifey" for you.

Environmental Nutroots Rally Around Crying Glacier
It is their own personal Virgin Mary.
A glacier that is so upset over global warming that it's crying its eyes out.
At first glimpse it looks like any other glacier you might find in the freezing Arctic wastes of Norway.
But on closer inspection an eerie face is depicted in the melting ice wall that appears to be crying a river of tears.
The forlorn-looking 'Mother Nature' figure appeared to locals during a thaw, with the melting ice and snow falling towards the sea below.
The striking image of the Austfonna ice cap, located on Nordaustlandet in the Svalbard archipelago, would seem certain to be heavily used by environmentalists protesting against climate change.

Obama Had Prior Knowledge of Lockerbie Bomber's Release
Let me put this into context, for those who have forgotten, and for those who never knew.

Pan Am Flight 103 was Pan American World Airways' third daily scheduled transatlantic flight from London's Heathrow Airport to New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport. On Wednesday 21 December 1988, the aircraft flying this route—a Boeing 747-121 named Clipper Maid of the Seas—was destroyed by a bomb, killing all 243 passengers and 16 crew members. Eleven people in Lockerbie, southern Scotland, were killed as large sections of the plane fell in and around the town, bringing total fatalities to 270. As a result, the event has been named by the media as the Lockerbie Bombing.Upon returning to Libya, this was the hero's welcome Al Megrahi received.
In 2001, Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi, a Libyan, was convicted of involvement in the bombing and sentenced to life imprisonment. On 20 August 2009, the Scottish Government released him on compassionate grounds to return to Libya as he was suffering from terminal prostate cancer and had a life expectancy of less than 3 months.
The White House's reaction to Megrahi's release, as seen in this video, was one of "disappointment and shock".

President Obama and the US Secretary of State fuelled a fierce American backlash against Britain, claiming Abdelbaset Al Megrahi should have been forced to serve out his jail sentence in Scotland – but a senior Whitehall aide said their reaction was ‘disingenuous’.
British officials claim Mr Obama and Mrs Clinton were kept informed at all stages of discussions concerning Megrahi’s return.
The officials say the Americans spoke out because they were taken aback by the row over Megrahi’s release, not because they did not know it was about to happen.
‘The US was kept fully in touch about everything that was going on with regard to Britain’s discussions with Libya in recent years and about Megrahi,’ said the Whitehall aide.
‘We would never do anything about Lockerbie without discussing it with the US. It is disingenuous of them to act as though Megrahi’s return was out of the blue.
'They knew about our prisoner transfer agreement with Libya and they knew that the Scots were considering Megrahi’s case.’
