William Ayers has written a new afterword to his old book, "Fugitive Days: Memoirs of an Anti-War Activist". In that afterword, he reveals that he and Obama were family friends. He also reveals some of his involvement in Obama's early political career. In summary, he proves what we already knew. Obama is a liar.
In a new afterword to his memoir, 1960s radical William Ayers writes that the campaign controversy over their relationship was an effort by Obama's political enemies to "deepen a dishonest narrative" about the candidate.You may remember how Obama described their relationship:
“We had served together on the board of a foundation, knew one another as neighbors and family friends, held an initial fund-raiser at my house, where I’d made a small donation to his earliest political campaign,” he writes.
Obama said Ayers is "a guy who lives in my neighborhood" and not someone who has endorsed him or talked to him regularly.Obama says he was just a guy in the neighborhood and did not endorse him. Ayers says they were friends and that he held fund-raisers in his house for Obama. One of them is lying. Who do you think the liar is?
"And the notion that somehow as a consequence of me knowing somebody who engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago when I was 8 years old, somehow reflects on me and my values, doesn't make much sense," Obama said.

So what you are saying is that you will take the word of a "domestic terrorist" when it fits into your beliefs.

If you claim that Ayers is someone that should not be trusted, you can't trust in his description of his relationship with Obama. You can't have it both ways.
Look imbecile. Read something besides the NY Times. Ayers isn't the only one who has said Obama was at that fundraiser in his house. Use my search tool and read all you want about Obama and Ayers' relationship. No doubt you'll still fool yourself into believing it isn't true, but don't waste our time here with your grape Kool-Aid babble.
What about McCain's ties to the Contras and Oliver North? Terrorists seem to be everybody's friends.
The difference being, all that it is public knowledge, not denied by McCain, and not done for self promotion and personal power. Do you even know the motivation behind all that? McCain, if true, received no personal benefit. So what was the motivation? See the difference Biff?
Ayers and the Weathermen advocated re-education camps for capitalists. They estimated that 25 million people would have to be eliminated. Bill thinks big.
So McCain just blindly gave his support...there's a winning example of lack of judgement.
Anon won't touch Raila Odinga's connection to Obama. Anon doesn't see the difference between being supported by DOMESTIC terrorists, and supporting foreign groups that 20 years later self-serving liberals choose to label terrorists. I think it's safe to say that as President, Obama is going to support groups that someone, somewhere, labels "terrorists". And then Anon will be pooping grape Kool-Aid all over himself.

And I was simply trying to show you how precisely dense you are. And inasmuch as you seem incapable of grasping the difference between my allegations, and those you raise against McCain, assuming all allegations raised by both of us are true, I would say you made my showing for me.
I know it stings when, believing you are of the enlightened ones, you get your intellect handed to you by a narrow minded conservative. All I can tell you is, don't assume you have grasps of things which you refuse to contemplate in an objective fashion. You will never be right when you do that. Ayers also denies both setting bombs and "wishing we had bombed more." What do you say about this? Again you can't have it both ways. Ayers doesn't seem like he was fully invested into the Weathermen ideology. So perhaps, Obama is wrong to downplay his relationship with Ayers, but his true crime is talking to people that are from a different background than himself. And we can't have that. He might actually form an objective, rational view of the world.

Actually, as a political news junkie during the 2 year presidential campaign, I've heard Barack on a number of occassions describe his relationship (or lack thereof) with Ayers exactly the way Ayers has done himself (above)...so I didnt get sucked in with the claims that he LIED...But back in the Spring when this issue came up a really wanted to hear Barack's side of the story and once he said this "And the notion that somehow as a consequence of me knowing somebody who engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago when I was 8 years old, somehow reflects on me and my values, doesn't make much sense," it made sense for me....After the convention speech in 2004, I went out to read Barack's 'Dreams from My Father'...and after reading articles in various media outlets describing more in detail Barack's life, upbringing, and in general about him and his beliefs, I came to my own conclusion that regardless of what relationship they might have had, Barack can be described in now way as a Terrorist or a terrorist sympathizer. He has never uttered hate or displayed actions of hate.. In fact time after time, when reporters have gone to Hawaii or Indonesia or even Chicago people have described him as having this compassionate, humane, and thoughtful spirit....Its what he has said and done that defines him to me, not the people his associated with.
How about 20 years of worship at a church whose religion is black liberation theology which is premised on the notion that if God is not for black people and against white people, then he/she/it is no God at all? And 20years of worship at a church that had as one of its basic tenets, the destruction of the middle class. That enough. Oh, of course not. Not for you. It has to come straight from the horse's mouth. Funny, I bet you don't have the same "from the horse's mouth" standard when passing judgment on those you disagree with. Point of fact, I know you don't. But I bet you'll say you do.
Most sane people will tell you that if you spend 20 years worshiping at a church that is premised on hate, and the destruction of the middle class, then that is an integral part of your world view. There is another explanation as to why he sat there all those years. But it's not good either. But go ahead. Spin this. It will be comical to watch.

This Idiot that is defending Obama is just like all the other spoiled idiots who voted for him. They Envy people who work hard in this country and want everything handed to them, don't care about History or a person's History. By the way Mr. Obama is only a nice, spiritual person because he is in front of the cameras and he knows it. Where are his college records, college friends, documentation of his early years, birth certificate?
Guess what he won't release them. I had to show my ass to my employer to get my job, and this guys doesn't need to show us the American people what he's all about.
