Obama and the Nobel Prize

Obama says he's gonna give the 1.4 million dollars to charity, but it's not his to give . (Hat tip to Daled Amos) According to the law, it belongs to the treasury. He thinks he's fooling us into believing the charitable donation means he doesn't benefit, but wait! A donation that size nets him a tax deduction of some half a million.

This ain't the first time. The Oil Ticks gave him the Saudi King Abdul Aziz Order of Merit, encrusted with jewels. Not only does his acceptance of this big-money bauble break the law, but it is also of form of rank in a foreign nobility. It is a chivalric order of the Saudi monarchy.

So who does he serve? The U.S. people and our constitution, or the foreign king for whom he is now a "knight?" Will congress let him sell himself to foreigners for honors and riches; i.e., he bows down before the Arabian king and will go to Copenhagen to show his allegiance to Denmark's environmental dictates, for riches and prestige? No other president would ever consider such a debasement of the office. For Obama, however, it's all about him, not us.
