Huffington Post Readers Weigh in on the Death of Bin Laden

I found this over at Moonbattery.  These people live within our borders, no doubt many are living on our tax dollars, and surely some of them are teaching our children.  Here's some comments on Bin Laden's death:

I'm holding my congratualtions until after an investigation has been preformed and proove's that everything was on the up and up and clear's the president and the military of any wrong-doing and also after the U.S. has no resutling deaths by vengeful terrorist's.

There have been three spectacular military missions in media since 9/11. First it was the "rescue" of Jessica Lynch. Then there was the tragic death of Pat Tillman. Now we have the "present" death of OBL. Forgive me if I call BS.

the worst terrorists America has are within it's territory among the teapartays.

What evidence do we have that it was actually him other than the word of the people that lied us into war in the first place?

Palspal2

Still have to get US/Israel out of the West Bank, remove the dozens of bases and military installations, and stop with the threats on Iran. Then maybe the wound can begin to heal.

America talks peace only but is a nation of war and death and destruction and the people love it so

Everybody derserves a fair trial.

TrucosR4Ninos

If OBL was captured and sent to trial he would expose secrets the USA would not want the world to know. OBL used to be on the CIA payroll.

Aries Warrior

who said he was a war criminal ? … there is no conclusive proof of that.

Mr Carp

Excellent news he was shot while unarmed (sarc) It dramatically reduced the chances of him injuring one of our 'valuable' Navy Seals. Too bad.

There was only a 60 to 80 percent chance that OBL was there. Was it worth the risk of invading an ally's sovereignty?

i didn't think the us did assassinations. it's a slippery slope we climbed out on. i just hope it doesn't jump up and bite us.

So, it was decided that it was much better to take the stain of gunning down an unarmed man. All the death penalty buffs must be really pleased. Kill, kill, kill!

blackcoffeeparty

there is something not right about this. Maybe Usama Bin Laden was killed to keep him from providing information on those in the U.S. that have aided and abeted him

gungavin

So instead of a legal trial in NYC we get basically a murder ordered by our President. Unless of course the Seal was a rogue Republican and killed the guy against orders…?

breakingrocks

Bin Laden was murdered. You may feel however you desire about that but the bottom line is the USA murdered Bin Laden.

It's another great day in the history of our great country. You kill 3000+ of our citizens and in turn we will start however many wars and spend god knows how much money to hunt you down and kill you...........10 years later. God I hate this country

thereisonlyoneparty

So the next time someone is accused of a crime or takes responsibility the police or military should just kill them?

Yup, that is "justice."

Well, I guess there are a few of us who still cling to that old fashion concept of a rule of law. We are no better than terrorists.

spigzone

He was shot instead of captured for the same reason he's never been formally charged or indicted … a by the books and impartial trial wouldn't result in a conviction. … This country is going to SO richly deserve the reaping it has sowed.

For Christ sake. We have gone from the morality of death sentence

To vengeance of becoming what our enemies are, Torture and Assassination.

Bigger violence is the cure for less violence?

Killed while resisting arrest - I've certainly heard that one before - LOL!
