In his commencement speech at Hamilton College on Sunday, former Vice President Al Gore told the graduates that global warming is “the most serious challenge our civilization has ever faced.” But as an undergraduate at Harvard University in the late 1960s, Gore--one of the most prominent spokesmen on climate change today--earned a “D” in Natural Sciences.
Gore’s transcript documents that during his sophomore year at Harvard he earned a "D" in Natural Sciences 6 (Man’s Place in Nature). Also, as a senior at Harvard, he earned a C-plus in Natural Sciences 118.
Damn! By Mr. Gore's logic, millions of lives could have been saved during World War II if we had just recycled and kept our tires inflated at a proper level.
Speaking in Oxford at the Smith School World Forum on Enterprise and the Environment, sponsored by The Times, Mr Gore said: “Winston Churchill aroused this nation in heroic fashion to save civilisation in World War II.”
Mr Gore admitted that it was difficult to persuade the public that the threat from climate change was as urgent as the threat from Nazi Germany.

Despite alarmist claims of dangerous global warming there’s nothing to worry about — it’s really getting cooler says Laurence Gould, a professor of physics at the University of Hartford and one of the seven signers of a letter to Congress warning against passage of the so-called cap and trade legislation now awaiting Senate action after being enacted by the House of Representatives last week.
Professor Gould told Newsmax that the evidence on cooling is being ignored by the U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) upon whose specious reports the cap and trade bill relied.
Gould explained that both “global cooling and global warming have happened throughout much of the earth's climate history,” adding that “there have, for example, been the great ice ages as well as the more recent little ice age — all this taking place well before the large buildup of 20th century human industrialization — an industrialization that resulted and continues to result in the increase in the standard of living and in the increased life expectancy of people around the globe.”
But even as we are lucky to be living in a relatively warm period Gould said, “the evidence . . . clearly shows global temperatures have been falling over the last decade."

The gall of Al Gore with his sighs and snickers. Is his motivation greed? Partly. But mostly it's his ego and the desire to control other people's lives.
I pulled up to Al’s house, located in the posh Belle Meade section of Nashville, at 8:48pm – right in the middle of Earth Hour. I found that the main spotlights that usually illuminate his 9,000 square foot mansion were dark, but several of the lights inside the house were on.
In fact, most of the windows were lit by the familiar blue-ish hue indicating that floor lamps and ceiling fixtures were off, but TV screens and computer monitors were hard at work. (In other words, his house looked the way most houses look about 1:45am when their inhabitants are distractedly watching “Cheaters” or “Chelsea Lately” reruns.)
The kicker, though, were the dozen or so floodlights grandly highlighting several trees and illuminating the driveway entrance of Gore’s mansion.

The scientist was told, "science will not intrude on public policy".
Noted energy expert and Princeton physicist Dr. Will Happer has sharply criticized global warming alarmism. Happer, author of over 200 scientific papers and a past director of energy research at the Department of Energy, called fears over global warming "mistaken".
"I have spent a long research career studying physics that is closely related to the greenhouse effect", said Happer. "Fears about man-made global warming are unwarranted and are not based on good science."
Dr. Happer views climate change as a predominately natural process. "The earth's climate is changing now, as it always has. There is no evidence that the changes differ in any qualitative way from those of the past."
In 1991, Happer was appointed director of energy research for the US Department of Energy. In 1993, he testified before Congress that the scientific data didn't support widespread fears about the dangers of the ozone hole and global warming, remarks that caused then-Vice President Al Gore to fire him. "I was told that science was not going to intrude on public policy", he said. "I did not need the job that badly".
Of course, they say Blago is not corrupt, but crazy. But Al? Not so much. Hell they gave him a Nobel Peace Prize.
Here's Al this week in Germany telling his audience that the entire ice cap at the North Pole will disappear in 5 years. A blatant lie. But hey, he means well.
The whales took Al Gore at his word. They did not expect there to be ice. And they paid the price.
At least 200 narwhal whales in Canada's Arctic, trapped by winter ice and facing starvation or suffocation, must be culled, officials say.
Hunters from the village of Pond Inlet on Baffin Island discovered the animals trapped near Bylot Island, about 17 kilometres from Pond Inlet, on November 15.
The local hunters are allowed to harvest only 130 whales each year for food, according to standards set by the federal department of Fisheries and Oceans.
But department spokesman Keith Pelley said: "It's unlikely the animals are going to survive the winter, so the hunters have been given authorisation to cull them."
The hunters have been on the ice slaughtering the whales since Thursday and are likely to accomplish their task over the coming days, he said.

Let me break this down for you. Gore is old. At best, he's got 20 years left on this planet. A "ten year" turnaround for his self-interested investments to pay off would give him just enough time to enjoy all that money he's got sunk into this hoax.
And then there's yesterday's report of thousands of scientists saying there is no consensus on man-made global warming. All the more reason for Al to be stepping up his scare tactics. He and the other global warming disciples will be known as the witch hunters of our time.
And what of all the liberals like Nancy Pelosi who claim that new drilling in America is a "hoax" because it will take 10 years? Surely they're not about to jump on board this 10 year plan?

Obese and overweight people require more fuel to transport them and the food they eat, and the problem will worsen as the population literally swells in size, a team at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine says.
