Obama's Climate Czar was Member of a Socialist Environmental Group

So in this case, the title "Czar" is fitting.

Carol Browner, President-elect Barack Obama's choice to be his climate czarina, served until last summer as a member of a socialist organization whose mission is to enact progressive government policies, including toward environmental concerns like climate change.

Browner's name and biography have been scrubbed from the Web site of Socialist International, the umbrella group for 170 "social democratic, socialist and labor parties" in 55 countries. But a photo of Browner speaking in Greece to the group's Congress on June 30 remained in the site's archives.

Browner, formerly the longest serving administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency, having served under President Bill Clinton, worked on Socialist International's Commission for a Sustainable World Society, which argues that the global community must work collectively to address environmental policies.

"We are aware that essential tasks still lie ahead which we can master only through common action, since human survival increasingly depends upon the joint efforts of people around the world. ... It is the people of the world who should exercise control by means of a more advanced democracy in all aspects of life: political, social and economic. Political democracy, for socialists, is the necessary framework and precondition for other rights and liberties," the Web site reads.

Liberals Question Blagojevich's Sanity...But Not Al Gore's

Of course, they say Blago is not corrupt, but crazy. But Al? Not so much. Hell they gave him a Nobel Peace Prize.

Here's Al this week in Germany telling his audience that the entire ice cap at the North Pole will disappear in 5 years. A blatant lie. But hey, he means well.

The World's Only Voice of Reason

Czech President Vaclav Klaus hit out at the EU climate deal concluded Friday and described global climate issues as "a silly luxury.""I do not like the way they forced it", Klaus said shortly after an agreement was announced in Brussels. He also claimed that his French counterpart Nicolas Sarkozy had "pushed" the deal so that it would not be left when the Czech Republic takes over the EU presidency from France on January 1."This is scandalous," he said. "We should have been able to discuss it during our presidency, to force it now is not very good.""Environmental issues are a luxury good," Klaus added. "Now we have to tighten our belt and to cut the luxury."

Obama is Still Selling Green Snake Oil

This guy is working every socialist angle he can.

In a taped speech shown to attendees at a climate change conference in California this week, Barack Obama continued trying to distract Americans from the enormous cost of making substantial reductions in carbon dioxide emissions by promising "five million new green jobs that pay well and can't be outsourced." Not only is this number pulled out of thin air; it's nothing to be happy about. As I've noted, the manpower required to transform the economy so that greenhouse gas emission targets can be reached is a measure of the cost involved. Obama makes it seem as if we should try to maximize this cost, promising that green jobs will "steer our country out of this economic crisis."

That is pretty much the opposite of the truth. As The New York Times notes, "some industry leaders and members of Congress have suggested that Mr. Obama's climate proposal would impose too great a cost on an already-stressed economy—having the same effects as a tax on coal, oil and natural gas—and should await the end of the current downturn." Obama's response is to portray the economic burden as a boon.

Even if Obama were right about current conditions, and right that things will only get worse, what evidence is there that his cap-and-trade plan will ameilorate the trend enough to justify the cost? Assuming we meet his goal of an 80 percent reduction in carbon dioxide emissions by 2050 (a conveniently distant deadline), how much will it cost, what impact will it have on global warming, and how much damage will thereby be avoided?

AL GORE ADMITS "CLIMATE CHANGE" IS TOTALLY NATURAL!

Seriously. How else can one interpret this story on his blog?:

Looking Back to Look Forward November 19, 2008 : 3:04 PM
A new study suggests the Mayan civilization might have collapsed due to environmental disasters:
"'These models suggest that as ecosystems were destroyed by mismanagement or were transformed by global climatic shifts, the depletion of agricultural and wild foods eventually contributed to the failure of the Maya sociopolitical system,' writes environmental archaeologist Kitty Emery of the Florida Museum of Natural History in the current Human Ecology journal."
As we move towards solving the climate crisis, we need to remember the consequences to civilizations that refused to take environmental concerns seriously.
If you haven’t read already read it, take a look at Jared Diamond’s book, Collapse.

Gee... The Mayans were confronted with apocalyptic "climate change" when there was no internal combustion engine, no factories, no air conditioners and no private jets? Well what the hell caused it? And what does he mean we need to remember the consequences to civilizations that refuse to take environment concerns seriously? What were the Mayans supposed to do? Junk their SUVs??? Reduce the carbon footprint of their grass huts? Cap and trade the emissions from their camp fires? My God, Al! You just blew your whole scam. Dope.

THE MOTIVE BEHIND AL GORE'S TEN YEAR PLAN TO BE OFF FOSSIL FUELS

Al Gore came out this week challenging America to produce of its energy from renewable resources and to accomplish that feat within the next ten years.

Al Gore has challenged America to make a "man on the moon" effort to produce all of the country's electricity from renewable resources such as solar and wind power within 10 years.

Mr Gore said the single most important policy change to speed up the transition would be the introduction of a tax on carbon dioxide pollution
Of course, Al and his posse showed up to this speech calling for Americans to change in a fleet of Super SUVs.

Al didn't bother disclosing how he arrived at this summit. He also didn't bother disclosing any information about some of his investments. Here's an earlier report from The Big Feed:
Weeks before announcing a $300-million, three-year advertising campaign to raise awareness about global warming, Al Gore was conducting a slide show for a group of investors in Monterey, Calif., touting companies such as Bloom Energy, Amryis , Mascoma and other firms that are not household names -- yet.

These bio-fuel and green technology firms could be poised to take off, Gore told his audience. "Here are just a few of the investments I personally think make sense," he said during the March 1 presentation. "I have a stake in these so I'll have a disclaimer there."

Gore's admitted stake in those companies comes from his partnership in the venture capital firm, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB). Gore joined the firm last November, forging a partnership between KPCB and the London-based Generation Investment Management, a firm Gore chairs, and which steers investments in green and "sustainable" companies.

This month, KPCB announced it has invested $500 million into start-up "green growth" companies, and another $700 million into more established greentech, information technology and life science ventures.
Let me break this down for you. Gore is old. At best, he's got 20 years left on this planet. A "ten year" turnaround for his self-interested investments to pay off would give him just enough time to enjoy all that money he's got sunk into this hoax.

And then there's yesterday's report of thousands of scientists saying there is no consensus on man-made global warming. All the more reason for Al to be stepping up his scare tactics. He and the other global warming disciples will be known as the witch hunters of our time.

And what of all the liberals like Nancy Pelosi who claim that new drilling in America is a "hoax" because it will take 10 years? Surely they're not about to jump on board this 10 year plan?

GORE FINANCIALLY INVESTED IN GLOBAL WARMING HOAX

Enter another interested party in the global warming hoax debate. Big Oil, Big Science, and now, Big Fat.

Surely Al wouldn't let his financial interests effect the dissemination of the truth?
