IT'S OFFICIAL: FAKE TIPSTER WAS AN OBAMA DELEGATE

Confirmation on the story of the alleged Obama delegate who pretended to be an abused child so the police would raid a church that she did not agree with. It's alleged no more...

Plenty is known about who Rozita Swinton is not.

She is not a teenage girl who bore her father's child and wanted to kill herself in Castle Rock. She is not an injured child trapped in a Colorado Springs basement. And she was never a sexually abused teen bride trapped in a polygamist compound in Arizona or Texas.

Who she is,though, is not so clear. A 33-year-old woman with a reasonably clean criminalhistory, Swinton has been active in politics and once sold insurance.

Yet in secret she was someone who could play the part of an anguished child with chilling authenticity. She is a person with either finely honed investigative skills or inside information into the secret details of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. And she's someone smart enough to know just how much information to give police to keep them searching - and how multiple cell phones reduced the odds of getting caught.

After the El Paso County Democratic caucuses and convention, she was named one of the 360 delegates to the state convention at the World Arena on May 17, chosen to support Barack Obama.

Kelly Seaman, a 911 supervisor for the Colorado Springs Police Department, said that more than 10 911 calls from at least three cell phones have been linked to Swinton in recent years. One of those calls also involved Arapahoe County.

Seaman said Swinton would give a little bit of information and then hang up. When dispatchers tried to get back in touch, the cell phone would be turned off. Swinton might then give a piece of information to another agency, or call dispatchers back to give a little more. She would play the part of a scared, crying girl. The calls went well beyond a typical prank, said police spokesman Lt. Skip Arms.
And these are the people knocking on doors for Obama.

WOMAN WHO MADE FALSE TIP THAT RESULTED IN RAID AT POLYGAMY CULT IS AN OBAMA DELEGATE?

It appears that Rozita Swinton, the woman arrested today for falsely tipping off the police that she was an abused child bride at the FLDS polygamy cult in Texas is a pledged Obama state delegate. From The Jawa Report:

Rozita Swinton, the woman arrested today for falsely tipping off the police that she was an abused child bride at the FLDS polygamy cult in Texas is a PLEDGED BARACK OBAMA STATE DELEGATE!!

It was her initial false report that started the investigation which has led to the removal of 400 children from their parents' custody.

Patterico:

In an odd coincidence, a person named Rozita E. Swinton of Colorado Springs is listed on the El Paso County Democratic Party website as an Obama delegate.
From the webpage. The number next to her name indicates the precinct she's in.

How many Rozita Swintons can there be in Colorado Springs?

Another example of a Democratic activist making up a fake but accurate story? Sure, she lied about everything, but isn't the goal of removing children from parents who's lifestyle we don't approve of trump truth?

All this, of course, is subject to confirmation.

UPDATE: DEVELOPING NEWS - From the Houston Chronicle
It sounded so genuine: a terrified voice of a young girl expressing fear that if rescued from a religious cult, blacks might harm her.
The calls to the Child Protection Project, run by a former member of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, were recorded at the request of the Texas Rangers. . . .
The calls to the former sect member, meanwhile, led the Rangers to Colorado Springs, Colo., where police Wednesday arrested Rozita Swinton, a 33-year-old black woman. . . .
Child Protection Project founder Linda Walker and the Phoenix-based group's executive director, Flora Jessop, said Friday they were stunned when they learned the woman's identity.
"In her little baby voice, she said, 'If you rescue me, and I get out of here, do you think the black people will hurt me?' "
Walker said. "She had done her homework. She knew it was a racist cult. We know that these kids are very frightened of black people.
"The Texas Rangers told us she was obsessed with the FLDS. They confiscated tons of material on the FLDS (in the search of Swinton's home). She even gave real addresses and real names of FLDS people."
Walker and Jessop hesitated to say that Swinton was the person who called the Texas hot line to describe sexual and physical abuse by a 50-year-old husband at the ranch outside Eldorado, but they endorsed the resulting actions of Texas authorities.
"Regardless of who made these calls, the system worked exactly as it was supposed to work," said Jessop, a former FLDS member whose cousin, Merrill Jessop, runs the ranch.
