OBAMA POSTS HIS FOREIGN POLICY STRATEGY ON THE INTERNET: AND WE DISSECT IT

This is not from the campaign website. This is his presidential transition website. But as you will see, not much has changed. His foreign policy strategy reads like it was drafted by a fifth grader--who was educated in his senate district.

Let me say that I think it is a huge blunder to post your foreign policy strategy on the internet. But what are to expect from the man who told the world he is going to invade Pakistan's sovereignty to go after Al Qaeda? Thereby putting the Pakistani government in quite the conundrum with its people.

Here are a few of the highlights of Obama's plan:

On Iran

Obama supports tough, direct presidential diplomacy with Iran without preconditions. Now is the time to pressure Iran directly to change their troubling behavior. Obama and Biden will offer the Iranian regime a choice. If Iran abandons its nuclear program and support for terrorism, we will offer incentives like membership in the World Trade Organization, economic investments, and a move toward normal diplomatic relations. If Iran continues its troubling behavior, we will step up our economic pressure and political isolation. Seeking this kind of comprehensive settlement with Iran is our best way to make progress.
Wait a second. Didn't Obama say in all 3 debates that he did not advocate diplomacy without preconditions? Liar!

Renewing American Diplomacy
The United States is trapped by the Bush-Cheney approach to diplomacy that refuses to talk to leaders we don't like. Not talking doesn't make us look tough – it makes us look arrogant, it denies us opportunities to make progress, and it makes it harder for America to rally international support for our leadership.
America under Bush looks arrogant? Hello Pot. This is Kettle.
To make diplomacy a priority, Obama will stop shuttering consulates and start opening them in the tough and hopeless corners of the world – particularly in Africa. They will expand our foreign service, and develop the capacity of our civilian aid workers to work alongside the military.
Let me get this straight. You admit the areas are hopeless, but you plan to send Americans there anyway? Many Americans will die because of this philosophy. And America's retreat from areas it should not have been in the first place will make us look weak.
Obama and Biden will forge a more effective framework in Asia that goes beyond bilateral agreements, occasional summits, and ad hoc arrangements, such as the six-party talks on North Korea. They will maintain strong ties with allies like Japan, South Korea and Australia; work to build an infrastructure with countries in East Asia that can promote stability and prosperity; and work to ensure that China plays by international rules.
Yeah. Good luck with that China thing. You have no cards to play. And with the democrats planning to cut defense spending by 25%, you're not going to get a new deck.

Nuclear Weapons
Obama and Biden will secure all loose nuclear materials in the world within four years. While we work to secure existing stockpiles of nuclear material, Obama and Biden will negotiate a verifiable global ban on the production of new nuclear weapons material. This will deny terrorists the ability to steal or buy loose nuclear materials.
What can I say about this other than this is such a remarkably stupid and false statement that I can't believe they would post it and make it public.
Obama and Biden will crack down on nuclear proliferation by strengthening the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty so that countries like North Korea and Iran that break the rules will automatically face strong international sanctions.
Yeah champ. We're doing that already. It's not working. What's Plan B?
Obama and Biden will set a goal of a world without nuclear weapons, and pursue it. Obama and Biden will always maintain a strong deterrent as long as nuclear weapons exist.
Gonna be hard to do that if he slows the development of future combat systems as he pledged to do.

Bipartisanship and Openness
Obama will reverse President Bush's policy of secrecy. He will institute a National Declassification Center to make declassification secure but routine, efficient, and cost-effective.
Did someone say naive? I guess this should be expected. He did, after all, post his foreign policy strategy on the internet. And hey, did you catch that? He just created another government institution.
Obama and Biden will bring foreign policy decisions directly to the people by requiring his national security officials to have periodic national broadband town hall meetings to discuss foreign policy. They will personally deliver occasional fireside chats via webcast.
Is he planning to govern by referendum? Can we do that on domestic tax and social issues too? And the notion of this guy giving a fireside chat bothers me to no end. That candy ass ain't chopped wood in his life. Look man. Telling us that we're going to hang Georgians and Ukrainians out to dry while sitting by the fire, wearing a sweater and sipping cognac ain't gonna help us sleep any better.

Meeting the Challenge of a Resurgent Russia
The core components of this strategy include:

Helping to decrease the dependence of our allies and partners in the region on Russian energy;
Hmmm. How's he gonna do that? Suggest they go back to a windmill continent? He'll work on freeing Europe's dependence on foreign oil, but want support off shore drilling at home. That's audacity you can believe in.
Engaging directly with the Russian government on issues of mutual interest, such as countering nuclear proliferation, reducing our nuclear arsenals, expanding trade and investment opportunities, and fighting Al Qaeda and the Taliban...
Wrong Chief. These are NOT interests of Russia. These are issues Russia pretends to be interested in while they play the double game of fostering nuclear proliferation and Islamic terrorism. I did mention naive didn't I?

If there was a dish called disaster, this would be the recipe. Obama and the people around him show a clear lack of understanding of what motivates leaders of other countries and ignore the alliances that are forming amongst energy-rich dictators as we speak. The Western world is going to be in for very hard times and we will be lucky to survive. If we do, it will at the mercy of these energy-rich dictators, not because of any strength America will possess.

Dude, when he sits down and gets briefed by the CIA and Pentagon on just how big and numerous the threats are to this country he's going to crap his Underoos.

In the years to come, as this stuff starts to filter into the public arena, the citizens of this country will be blown away by the fact Bush kept us safe and finally understand that the guy was extremely busy with these matters.

Obama is a little puppy and Biden is clown. Things gonna get freaky fast.
