Last night I got a call from a friend who decided to stay overnight in Biloxi, Mississippi on his way to Texas. He had reserved a room at a Ramada right across the street from the ocean and right in the heart of Biloxi's casino district. On the way to check in, he is panhandled by 2 different people. Later, after complaining about the general mayhem going on in the hotel, he learned that 75% of the hotel is being occupied by FEMA recipients. 3 years after hurricane Katrina, taxpayers are still paying to house these shiftless losers in a resort hotel.
