Cyberspies have penetrated the U.S. electrical grid and left behind software programs that could be used to disrupt the system, according to current and former national-security officials.
The spies came from China, Russia and other countries, these officials said, and were believed to be on a mission to navigate the U.S. electrical system and its controls. The intruders haven't sought to damage the power grid or other key infrastructure, but officials warned they could try during a crisis or war.
"The Chinese have attempted to map our infrastructure, such as the electrical grid," said a senior intelligence official. "So have the Russians."
The espionage appeared pervasive across the U.S. and doesn't target a particular company or region, said a former Department of Homeland Security official. "There are intrusions, and they are growing," the former official said, referring to electrical systems. "There were a lot last year.
Am I the only one here that sees the Writing on the Wall? Why is this not act of War?

Let's just hope when the new communist superpowers take over America (and it's written on the wall). That they also feel our laziest, our sorriest, our most unproductive citizens deserve the redistribution of their wealth.
After all that's what its all about right? Man how did we become such a limp wristed country?

BO goes to Europe, disses the US, calls us "arrogant" and now our country is under attack by those very same people he ran us down to! Anyone really surprised here? A year ago we were the most feared respected country in the world, we had all the wealth and smaller countries DARE not talk back lest they want a piece of what we gave Iraq. Now no one fears us (except maybe Canada), no one respects us, we are broke and under attack... thank you mr president!
Let me see...Barrack Insane wants to "install" the smart grid...and many of us are resisting. Now we have a cyber-security threat. Hmmmm...real or not, kind of makes one wonder. Or is this just another smoke screen? Ever notice how many "crisis" situations keep arising since the "one" has been in? None of this happened on Bush's watch.
The US is under attack by our enemies who want to destroy our country. The enemies are Russia and China.
They are slowly arming proxy countries with nuclear weapons and missiles to deliver them, all it takes to destroy the US economy is one electro-magnetic pulse from a nuclear blast over our country; the electro-magnetic pulse (EMP) would burn out every electrical system including TV's, calculators, computers, hospital systems, your work electronics & computers.
In short, everything. Russia and China are guaranteeing a successful attack by testing ways and planting viruses in our critical systems that might survive an EMP.
For them to have already planted the viruses means they are very close to conducting the attack.
They, like the Japanese just before Pearl Harbor, believe the U.S. political leadership is weak, blind and distracted.
Like Roosevelt, the Obama administration, Pelosi and Reid are focused on consolidating power, rather than fixing the economy and keeping it secure.
