I Will Gladly Pay You Tuesday for a Hamburger Today

Witness Cauli-for-nia's present, and all of America's future, according to this:

The California morass has Democrats in Washington trembling. The reason is simple. If Obama’s health-care plan passes, then we may well end up paying for it with federal slips of paper worth less than California’s. Obama has bet everything on passing health care this year. The publicity surrounding the California debt fiasco almost assures his resounding defeat.
Let's friggin' hope so...because if either cap-and-slave or health care makes it to Obugger's desk, we're done for.

Stuff You Need to Know #2

I used to take journeys through Islam. Frankly, Islam sucks. It's not as complex as some would have you think. I can spell it out in very simple terms. Islam is about hating anyone who is different, beating your wife, and wiping your ass with your shirt sleeve. So, moving on...

Close in character to many Muslim cities is Detroit. In Detroit, the median house price is now $7,500. So, with Obama's welfare tax check, and maxing out a crappy credit card that they have no intention of ever paying, many Obamatons should be homeowners very soon.

This is Obama's presidential limo. It does not have a "support the troops" sticker on the back. Traitor!

This is Obama's bike. It has a flat tire. And look close. I guess it's true. They really do grow tails.

One out of every ten Californians is unemployed. So how those illegal immigrants working out for you? Imbeciles.

That's all I got for now. Carry on.

California Forced to Release 55,000 Prisoners

How's those Democrats working out for ya?

There's not been a greater escape since Steve McQueen jumped aboard his motorcycle. The state of California has been ordered to release more than 55,000 prison inmates to ease pressure on its ailing penal system.

Federal judges ruled last week that California's 33 adult jails have become so overcrowded that they violate the constitutional rights of inmates, subjecting them to "cruel and unusual" punishment that is causing at least one death a month. Just over a third of the state's 158,000 prisoners must be set free by 2012 to ensure that basic healthcare is provided to those who remain behind, the judges said. The majority will go through early release and parole schemes.

Critics claim the ruling amounts to throwing open the doors of the biggest prison system in America, and will endanger the public. California's Attorney General, Jerry Brown, announced an immediate appeal to the Supreme Court, saying: "This order is a blunt instrument that does not recognise the imperatives of public safety, nor the challenges of incarcerating criminals, many of whom are deeply disturbed."

Jerry Powers, who heads the state's chief probation officers' association, called it "a game of Russian roulette".

California Tax Refunds May Come as IOUs

Could this happen to a better group of free-spending bleeding heart liberals?

If you expect you'll be getting a refund from California when you file your 2008 state income tax return, be prepared: you may instead receive a "registered warrant." Translation: an IOU.

California is rapidly running out of money. Blame it on the state budget deficit that continues to bleed billions of dollars from California's reserves. Facing inadequate credit to make up the difference, California's Controller John Chiang warns that by the end of February, the nation's most populous state may not be able to pay some of its debts, and instead be reduced to issuing those creditors IOUs.

"My office has projected that, in approximately 60 days, there will be insufficient cash available to meet all expenditures reflected in the 2008-09 Budget Act," stated a Tuesday letter from Controller Chiang to the directors of all state agencies. "To ensure that the State can meet its obligations to schools, debt service, and others entitled to payment under the State Constitution, federal law, or court order. California may begin, as early as February 1, 2009, issuing registered warrants...commonly referred to as IOUs...to individuals and entities in lieu of regular payments."

ILLEGAL ALIEN ADVOCATE WANTS TO END DRUNK DRIVING ENFORCMENT

From a blogger out in Pomona, California:

So this idiot out in California, Armando Navarro, a professor of "ethnic studies" at the University of Riverside, California, and also of the "Inland Valley Labor Action Network" sent out an all point bulletin regarding a city council meeting on whether to enforce drunk driving laws and use a grant to set up checkpoints to discourage drunk driving.

Anyway, Armando Navarro says enforcing drunk driving laws will have too much off an impact on the community. In other words he's arguing in favor of drunk driving because enforcing the law may inconvenience illegal aliens. Below is the suggested letter he says that people should send to the city council.

For those who don't know, Armando Navarro was also the organizer of a march in Washington DC in February, 2006 against HR 4437, the Secure Fence Act.

ANOTHER OBAMA FLIP FLOP: HE WAS AGAINST, NOW HE'S FOR, GAY MARRIAGE

The man does have a propensity for attacking his own ideas.
Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, who previously said the issue of gay marriage should be left up to each state, has announced his opposition to a California ballot measure that would ban same-sex marriages.

A spokesman for Republican presidential candidate John McCain, who last week endorsed Proposition 8 on the Nov. 4 California ballot, accused Obama of continuing a pattern of changing his position on issues.

"It just depends on where you catch him and what time of day … whether it's public financing, town hall debates and now gay marriage," said Rick Gorka, a spokesman for the Arizona senator.

Ben LaBolt, an Obama campaign spokesman, declined to comment on the McCain campaign's allegations. But LaBolt noted that the Illinois senator opposed a proposed federal ban on gay marriage. Campaigning in Pennsylvania in April, Obama said he would oppose a similar constitutional ban under consideration by the Legislature there.
Ed Morrisey at Hot Air had this to say about Obama flip floppedness:
There are only three possibilities for why Barack Obama has had to change his mind on almost every policy he has mentioned in this campaign:
He’s a liar who says what each audience wants to hear.

The election debate has changed his perspective on every issue.

He has no clue on any of the issues.
Only the second reflects any positive quality, that of open-mindedness, but it also carries with it the underlying unreadiness of a man who has only three years of national political experience for the Presidency. Assuming the best of intentions, Obama has no firm stands on any principle or policy. That doesn’t even recommend Obama as a Senator, let alone a President. If option 2 is the case, he needs to set out this election while he makes up his mind.
Are we limited to just one option?
