JOE BIDEN'S NEIGHBORHOOD

Joe Biden has a habit of keeping it real by always giving a shout out to the people in his "neighborhood". At the vice-presidential debate, Biden showed America how down to earth he was by stating:

“Look, the people in my neighborhood, they get it. They get it. They know they’ve been getting the short end of the stick. So walk with me in my neighborhood..”

Yesterday, he again played the salt of the earth card by attacking Joe the plumber. Said Biden:

"I don't have any Joe the Plumbers in my neighborhood that make $250,000 a year and are worried..."The Joe the Plumbers in my neighborhood, the Joe the Cops in my neighborhood, the Joe the Grocery Store Owners in my neighborhood, they make -- like 98 percent of the small businesses -- less than $250,000 a year and they're going to do very well under us"

Hmmm...Sounds like Joe lives in a real blue collar kinda place. Doesn't it? My interest in piqued. Let's take a walk in Joe neighborhood. Shall we?

Mr. Biden’s 6,800-square-foot colonial-style house sits on four lakefront acres that he bought in March 1996 for $350,000. It's now worth $1,383,599.00.



Just the other day, Biden criticized McCain for not calling him out about Ayers during the second debate. Said Joe:

“In my neighborhood, when you’ve got something to say to a guy, you look him in the eye and you say it to him.”

Yeah Joe. I'll bet that's right. Looks like some real hardcore, hard-hitting types in that neighborhood of yours. "Short end of the stick"? It doesn't look like anyone in Joe's neighborhood is getting the short end of the stick. And where does he come off talking about how well people who earn less than $250,000 a year are going to do under him and Obama? Show me any of those types in your neighborhood. Go ahead Joe. Show me. It was Biden that said paying more taxes is patriotic. As I see it, there are some real America-hatin' mo fos in Joe's neighborhood.

The Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Barack Obama's fiery ex-pastor, re-emerged yesterday with a crude reference about race and sex in the White House.

"This ordinary boy [Obama] just might be the first president in the history of the United States to have a black woman sleeping at 1600 Pennsylvania legally," Wright said, referring to Michelle Obama, in a sermon at the Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church in Houston.

It was unclear whether Wright was making a reference to prostitution, to old miscegenation laws, or to the history of illicit interracial sex under slavery.

Wright's remarks yesterday were full of praise for Obama - although several times, he referred to Obama as a "boy" who later developed into an extraordinary person, through God's work and, presumably, Wright's guidance.

"The lord turned the ordinary into the extraordinary. Y'all just saw it this past week. It was on national television," Wright said to applause.

"An ordinary black boy raised in a single-parent home . . . walked into my office 20 years ago to talk about his dream for a community that concentrated on things that we could achieve in common."

Right..."in common".

DEMOCRATS PLANNED ON THROWING URINE AT POLICE AT DEMOCRAT PARTY CONVENTION

A new kind of warning has come up about protesters gearing up for the Democratic National Convention.

Denver firefighters have learned of a house full of urine being stored to throw at police. An internal memo is warning first responders that disgusting acts are a significant concern.

Protesters in other cities have used urine and feces filled balloons to throw at police and there are concerns that could happen during the Democratic National Convention in Denver.

Denver City Councilman Doug Linkhart has proposed an ordinance to keep protesters from carrying the so called urine bombs or other liquids in the protest areas.

But--representatives from the group Recreate 68, dismisses the concerns.

"They are doing their best to make people afraid of us, to make people afraid to be anywhere near us," Said Recreate 68 spokesperson Mark Cohen.

An internal memo from Denver Health and Human Resources is warning first responders about the risks of being exposed to certain bodily fluids.

The group which is planning major protests at the convention, say police are releasing the information to make people afraid of them and to discourage people from protesting.

Shortly after joining the U.S. Senate and while enjoying a surge in income, Barack Obama bought a $1.65 million restored Georgian mansion in
an upscale Chicago neighborhood. To finance the purchase, he secured a $1.32
million loan from Northern Trust in Illinois.

The freshman Democratic senator received a discount. He locked in an
interest rate of 5.625 percent on the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage, below the
average for such loans at the time in Chicago. The loan was unusually large,
known in banker lingo as a "super super jumbo." Obama paid no origination fee or
discount points, as some consumers do to reduce their interest rates.

In Obama's case, he received a lower rate than the average offered at
the time in Chicago for similarly structured jumbo loans. He secured his final
mortgage commitment on June 8, 2005, and during that week, rates on similar
loans for which information is available averaged 5.93 percent, according to HSH
Associates, which surveys lenders. Another survey firm, Bankrate.com, placed the average at 6 percent.

"It's certainly safe to say that this borrower did better than
average," said Keith Gumbinger, an HSH vice president, noting that consumer rates
vary widely. "It's a good deal."

The Obama campaign called the rate "consistent with Northern Trust
policies, and it reflected the base rate set for that period discounted to
address the competition for the account and other opportunities, such as
personal financial services, that the relationship would bring to Northern
Trust."

When the Obamas secured the loan, their income had risen dramatically.
Obama assumed his Senate seat in January 2005, with an annual salary of
$162,100. That same month, Random House agreed to reissue an Obama memoir, for which it
originally paid $40,000, as part of a $2.27 million deal that included two
future nonfiction books and a children's book.

Around the same time, the University of Chicago Hospitals promoted Michelle Obama to a vice president and more than doubled her pay,
to $317,000.

The couple wanted to step up from their $415,000 condo. They chose a
house with six bedrooms, four fireplaces, a four-car garage and 5 1/2 baths,
including a double steam shower and a marble powder room. It had a wine cellar,
a music room, a library, a solarium, beveled glass doors and a granite-floored
kitchen.

Fish don't fry in that kitchen.

FARC HAD CONTACT WITH GERMAN LEFTISTS...AND THE DEMOCRATS

A follow up to a story we've been covering...

Left-wing Colombian FARC rebels had contacts with leftist groups in Germany, according to data on a laptop belonging to slain commander Raul Reyes, German magazine Der Spiegel reported on Sunday.

Reyes, the number two commander in the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), was killed on March 1 in a raid by Colombian forces just inside Ecuador.

Emails on his laptop show that in January 2005 he sent his son to Germany in a secret mission, Der Spiegel said in an article to be published Monday.

There his son met with members of the German communist party and with far-left politician Wolfgang Gehrcke, who offered to press the European Parliament to take the FARC off its list of terrorist organizations.

“It was a very positive meeting,” Der Spiegel quotes an email found on Reyes’s laptop. “We were able to substantiate several points to reactivate solidarity with the struggle of the Colombian people.”

The FARC is considered a terrorist organization by Washington. It is believed to hold around 750 people hostage including French-Colombian politician Ingrid Betancourt, trafficking drugs to fund its insurgency.

But a far greater concern than ties to German leftists, is FARC's ties to U.S. Democrats...

A hard drive recovered from the computer of a killed Colombian guerrilla has offered more insights into the opposition of House Democrats to the U.S.-Colombia Free Trade Agreement.

A military strike three weeks ago killed Raúl Reyes, No. 2 in command of the FARC, Colombia's most notorious terrorist group. The Reyes hard drive reveals an ardent effort to do business directly with the FARC by Congressman James McGovern (D., Mass.), a leading opponent of the free-trade deal. Mr. McGovern has been working with an American go-between, who has been offering the rebels help in undermining Colombia's elected and popular government.

Mr. McGovern's press office says the Congressman is merely working at the behest of families whose relatives are held as FARC kidnap hostages. However, his go-between's letters reveal more than routine intervention. The intervenor with the FARC is James C. Jones, who the Congressman's office says is a "development expert and a former consultant to the United Nations." Accounts of Mr. Jones's exchanges with the FARC appeared in Colombia's Semana magazine on March 15. This Mr. Jones should not be confused with the former Congressman and ambassador to Mexico of the same name from Oklahoma.

"Receive my warm greetings, as always, from Washington," Mr. Jones began in a letter to the rebels last fall. "The big news is that I spoke for several hours with the Democratic Congressman James McGovern. In the meeting we had the opportunity to exchange some ideas that will be, I believe, of interest to the FARC-EP [popular army]."

Mr. Jones added that "a fundamental problem is that the FARC does not have, strategically, a spokesman that can communicate directly with persons of influence in my country like Mr. McGovern." Semana reports that in the documents Mr. Jones "rules himself out as the spokesman but offers himself as a 'bridge' of communication between the FARC and the congressman." Semana says when it spoke with Mr. Jones, he verified the letter and explained that "he made the offer because the guerrillas need interlocutors if they want to achieve peace and that it is a mistake to isolate them."

Can you believe this? This country can't stand another 6 years of Democrat control. It simply can't.

AMERICA'S GRAND PLAN TO SOLVE THE OIL CRISIS: SUE OPEC

I wish I was joking. But I'm not.

The House of Representatives overwhelmingly approved legislation on Tuesday allowing the Justice Department to sue OPEC members for limiting oil supplies and working together to set crude prices, but the White House threatened to veto the measure.

The bill would subject OPEC oil producers, including Saudi Arabia, Iran and Venezuela, to the same antitrust laws that U.S. companies must follow.

The legislation also creates a Justice Department task force to aggressively investigate gasoline price gouging and energy market manipulation.

If you're dumb enough to think this legislation will fix anything, please do not come to this blog anymore.

Meanwhile, while the retards running this country draft lawsuits...

While Washington dithers over exploiting oil and gas reserves off the coast of Florida, China has seized the opportunity to gobble up these deposits, which run throughout Latin America, the Caribbean and along the U.S. Gulf coast.

The Chinese have forged a deal with Cuban leader Fidel Castro to explore and tap into massive oil reserves almost within sight of Key West, Florida. At the same time, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, who controls the largest oil reserves in the Western Hemisphere, is making deals to sell his country’s oil to China, oil that is currently coming to the United States.

There are new reports out circulating that Chinese firms are planning to slant drill off the Cuban coast near the Florida Straits, tapping into U.S. oil reserves that are estimated at 4.6 billion to 9.3 billion barrels.

I should point out that the above snippet was from two years ago. China is two years into the process of slant drilling America's oil reserves. I reckon we'll sue them too.
