This is incredible, to say the least. This is just some of what is being said. It goes on and on.
A moment of disillusionTee to the hee. Where's your God now you friggin' fruitcakes?

I cannot add much to the sentiments already posted. I caucused for Obama in Seattle because I thought he represented change. I truly thought he valued principle over political expediency. I have read much about the FISA bill and I find Senator Obama's change of heart perhaps the most disillusioning moment in politics in my lifetime. I will still vote for him, but I am done donating money, time, and I am taking down the prominently-displayed Obama poster I had in my window. I still think he will make a good President, and I have little doubt he will win, but I no longer see him as a transformational figure, an inspiring leader, or the change we have all been waiting for. Barack Obama is now just a politician, and I am very sad to admit this.
Well the pathetic Democratic controlled congress helped the Bush Administration kill the Fourth Amendment. I think it is incredible how pathetic the Democrats in Congress, with a few exceptions, Feingold and Dodd, have basically bowed to Bush and the telephone companies who helped break the law.
But this is a post directed to Barack Obama, after refusing to vote no on the FISA Bill, I will now be withholding all my donation money, as well as advising my friends and family members to do the same
I have been making monthly donations and will discontinue those donations. My family members and most of my friends, all mildly wealthy, usually wait for my opinion on who to donate to. I will instruct them to donate to the ACLU, since that will be the organization that will need the money more than the Obama campaign.
This does not go to say that I will not vote for Barack Obama or not highly recommend to my friends and family members to vote for him either but he will not receive another dime from my family or me.
This FISA bill does not protect the American people any better, it gives the telephone companies immunity and that is it. All Obama has to do is say that he cannot vote for this bill because of the immunity that it gives to the companies. I am not saying that if it passes, I will not donate to him.

FISA consequences: There Will Be Blood

Daniel -
As Senator Obama has broken his promise to me, I demand that he return both of my donations to his campaign. I intend to redirect those donations to others who have demonstrated a conviction that defense of the rule of law is a non-negotiable principle and not just an inconvenient political obstacle.
Sincerely,
James Wilson

I am absolutely disgusted with Obama in regards to the FISA bill. Because of his flipflop and vote on this issue I will no longer support his campaign monetarily.

Obama’s ‘Sister Souljah Moment’ on the Surveillance Bill

I was totally behind him until he redacted the 4th amendment and broke his oath to defend and uphold the constitution of the united states, perhaps he believes, like Bush, that "the constitution is just a goddamn piece of paper". I, however, do not.
This was a core issue that he did a 180 degree turn on, if he can change his mind about an oath he's already taken and wants the highest elected office in the land, then there's little difference between him and any other lying politicians.
And I didn't take an oath to Obama, I supported him, I walked all over my town in to cold March 4th rain getting people out to vote, I've donated money I really couldn't afford to someone I believed in.
If you still support him great for you; however, though I may vote for him in Novemeber, I doubt I will do thing one, to support him otherwise, he screwed the pooch as far as I'm concerned.
Good luck to him and any supporters that got him, I think it lost him more than he'll ever know.
Senator Obama - Please Vote NO on Telecom Immunity - Get FISA Right
I've donated several times to this campaign and was prepared to do so again, but I will not. I will not support Senator Obama's deceipt in voting for the FISA bill after expressing last year and again in January of this year that he would personally filibuster or support another senator's filibuster of this bill. I wrote his senate office and the campaign to let them know I would suspend my donations. While I don't expect any organization or politician to bend to the will of one person, I nonetheless intend to carry through with my promise. I will probably vote for Senator Obama in the fall, but without my money and the donations of others like myself he will undoubtedly have a harder time convincing others to do the same.
What a waste.

Obama's Moral Cowardice

I am abandoning my support of Barak Obama due to my disgust over his support of the FISA bill. I believe his back-tracking to support immunity for the telecommunication companies proves that the change in which he believes is a sham. His flip-flopping only proves what a moral coward he personally must be and I will never, never support him with either my money or my vote.

Obama’s capitulation still draws legitimate fire from opponent

"A few short months ago, Barack Obama outwardly opposed terrorist surveillance legislation, saying that he would filibuster any bill that includes immunity for American telecommunications companies that had been asked by the government to participate in the program. Today, the U.S. Senate will approve legislation providing the immunity Barack Obama supposedly opposed, and despite his promise, he will not support a filibuster. What Barack Obama will do is show that he's willing to change positions, break campaign commitments and undermine his own words in his quest for higher office." - http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/07/09/mccain-blasts-obama-for-f_n_111610.html

Is it possible to "crash the system", if a Lot of people, at the same time, make phone calls, do computer searches, etc., and, we all discuss "al quaida", our criminal government officials, etc.? Can we overwhelm the system? as a show of protest

FISA Vote

Obama may yet get my vote in November, though I will seriously consider a 3rd party candidate after his vote to give bury the government's illegal domestic spying scandal. I still like a number of Obama's positions, but I also liked his position to filibuster any legislation that gave the telecoms retroactive immunity. That certainly changed. What won't be changing is Washington if Obama is elected. The system is broken. Love live the system.

Obama could have fought- instead, he ran away

Martin Bosworth:
With a word, he could have roused his supporters and activists to fight this thing to the bitter end, and assured his place in history as an avatar of real change. Instead, he folded, and now it's hard to see him as anything more than a typical politician who promises whatever's politically convenient at the time.
Too bad, this might have really been a "change election." Now we're back to the same amoral, cynical crap. I'm not voting for that, I will stay home before I vote for that.
Next-- the Iraq flip flop.

I am disgusted. Obama will NOT receive my vote in November, regardless of whether it means McCain wins (at least HE'S being honest with us). Once again, Dems picked the wrong guy in the primaries. Time to leave the party I guess.
