Prince Says No Gay Marriage

This report quotes Prince on gay marriage:
The singer told The New Yorker that he disagreed with a liberal "Democrat" view of life, pointing to gay marriage as something condoned by the party that he disagreed with because it clashed with the teachings of the Bible.

"God came to Earth and saw people sticking it wherever and doing it with whatever, and he just cleared it all out," he said. "He was, like, 'Enough.'
Who knew?

Obama Commits Environmental Crime by Dumping Grandmother's Ashes into the Sea

Or so is claiming this source:

A ceremony arranged for his grandmother, whom he lost during the election process, may end up causing quite a headache for Barack Obama.

In a ceremony held in Hawaii, Obama, teary-eyed, poured his grandmother's ashes into the sea from the sand-lined shore. Environmentalists were quick to stand up against the move.

The reason behind the contention was the state's Department of Land and Natural Resources Protection Law, which prohibits ashes from being dropped into the ocean. According to the regulation in place, ashes must be poured at a distance of at least three nautical miles. It has not yet been determined whether Obama will receive a fine for his actions.

New York Times Gets Punked by Fake French Guy

Rumors of the New York Times' demise are not exaggerated:

Early this morning, we posted a letter that carried the name of Bertrand Delanoë, the mayor of Paris, sharply criticizing Caroline Kennedy.

This letter was a fake. It should not have been published.

Doing so violated both our standards and our procedures in publishing signed letters from our readers.

We have already expressed our regrets to Mr. Delanoë's office and we are now doing the same to you, our readers.

This letter, like most Letters to the Editor these days, arrived by email. It is Times procedure to verify the authenticity of every letter. In this case, our staff sent an edited version of the letter to the sender of the email and did not hear back. At that point, we should have contacted Mr. Delanoë's office to verify that he had, in fact, written to us.

We did not do that. Without that verification, the letter should never have been printed.

We are reviewing our procedures for verifying letters to avoid such an incident in the future.

MSNBC Producer Loses his Fuc#ing Mind

Classy. This is the network of the tolerant liberals. Just ask that "dumb bitch"

MSNBC producer goes nuts and starts cussing his crew. What do you think the odds are that he does this all the time and that one of his crew finally decided to expose his sorry ass to the world?

When the Term "House Negro" Isn't Cool: Al Sharpton Then and Now

Al Sharpton in February, 2007

Al Sharpton yesterday speaking about Al Qaeda calling Obama a "house negro"

And did you catch that? In the second video, he used the term "decider". Didn't the left once accuse Bush of being a moron for using that same term?

MORE EVIDENCE OF FLAG TRASHING DURING THE INVESCO FIELD RALLY

You recall the reports of the great flag rescue after the Democrat's convention. Thousands of American flags were retrieved from the trash by McCain supporters following the event and then used patriotically at one of McCain's campaign stops in Colorado. The democrats denied any such disrespect for the American flag. Well...Where's the respect in this photo?

FAKE DEA AGENT FOOLS ENTIRE TOWN: MAKES ARRESTS

Stupid earthlings fall for that federal agent trick every time:

Like so many rural communities in the country’s middle, this tiny town had wrestled for years with the woes of methamphetamine. Then, several months ago, a federal agent showed up.

Mayor Otis Schulte of Gerald said Bill A. Jakob went to great lengths to make police officers think he was a federal agent.

Busts began. Houses were ransacked. People, in handcuffs on their front lawns, named names. To some, like Mayor Otis Schulte, who considers the county around Gerald, population 1,171, “a meth capital of the United States,” the drug scourge seemed to be fading at last.

Those whose homes were searched, though, grumbled about a peculiar change in what they understood, from television mainly, to be the law.

They said the agent, a man some had come to know as “Sergeant Bill,” boasted that he did not need search warrants to enter their homes because he worked for the federal government.

But after a reporter for the local weekly newspaper made a few calls about that claim, Gerald’s anti-drug campaign abruptly unraveled after less than five months. Sergeant Bill, it turned out, was no federal agent, but Bill A. Jakob, an unemployed former trucking company owner, a former security guard, a former wedding-performing minister, a former small-town cop from 23 miles down the road.

The strange adventures of Sergeant Bill have led to the firing of three of the town’s five police officers, left the outcome of a string of drug arrests in doubt, prompted multimillion-dollar federal civil rights lawsuits by at least 17 plaintiffs and stirred up a political battle, including a petition seeking the impeachment of Mr. Schulte, over who is to blame for the mess.

THE LOST AMAZON TRIBE WAS A HOAX

You may remember this:

Now, know this:

The man behind photos of warriors from an "undiscovered" Amazon tribe that were beamed around the world has admitted it was a publicity stunt aimed at raising awareness of logging.

Indigenous tribes expert, José Carlos Meirelles, said the tribe had been known of since 1910, and had been photographed to prove that they still existed in an area endangered by logging, The Guardian reported.

Mr Meirelles, who was working for Funai, the Brazilian Indian Protection Agency dedicated to finding remote tribes and protecting them, said he spent three years gatheiring "evidence" about the tribe, and then planned the publicity to protect them from losing their habitat.
So the whole thing was nothing more than another example of leftist creeps trying to manipulate opinion to aid their Marxist cause.

OBAMA'S SLAVE-OWNING ANCESTORS REVEALED

Over at the Daily Kos, they were touting John McCain has having ancestors who were slave-owners. Well, how you like your boy now?

The maternal ancestors of Barack Obama, the Democrat who hopes to become America’s first black president, once owned slaves, genealogists have revealed.

According to the genealogists, George Washington Overall, Obama’s great-great-great-great grandfather, owned two slaves, a 15-year-old girl and 25-year-old man, who were listed in the 1850 Kentucky census. Another maternal ancestor owned two older slaves.

In his autobiography, Dreams from My Father, Obama referred to family rumours that his relatives had links to both sides during the civil war, but he did not know he had slaveholding ancestors. Bill Burton, a spokesman for the Illinois senator, said it showed his relatives were “representative of America”.

Obama’s relationship with the black community got off to a rocky start when he launched his campaign for president amid grumbling that he was not “black enough”.
Only in America can a black man be deprived of playing the slave card.

WHEN DOES THAT PUNCHING EACH OTHER'S FIST THING MEAN MORE THAN A HUG?

Pictured left are Michelle and Barack Obama in St. Paul, Minnesota during Barack Obama's victory speech. The couple can be seen punching each other's fist in the fashion first made popular by Wonder Twins Zan and Jayna and later hijacked by joyous athletes who just did someting special, or otherwise did something they get paid millions of dollars to do in the first place. Tradition has been that spouse's hug one another after big political victories. But here we have the militant Cosbys punching each other's fists. Which is not to say they do not hug. They do. I have seen them. And they have children. So it's pretty obvious that, from time to time, they like to get their freak on. Nonetheless, this time, they give us the power punch. Why?

Wonder Twins activate! Shape of...Audacity! Form of...Bullshit!

UNDENIABLE EVIDENCE OF ALIEN LIFE

Here's the video that supposedly provides irrefutable proof of extra terrestrials. To me, it looks like Ben Affleck trying to catch a pay per view boxing match without paying for it.

WHAT'S OBAMA READING?

Oh man...The fun never stops with this guy?

Can you use a photograph as a book blurb? If so, Fareed Zakaria might want to find a way to get this photo (by Doug Mills of the New York Times, via Shelf Awareness) on the cover of the paperback (or, the way it's selling, on the next hardcover edition) of The Post-American World. I love the way you can tell how far Obama's gotten in the book by where his finger is holding his place (which, as all bookworms know, is also body-language code for "Okay, I'll talk to you, but what I really want to do is get back to reading this book, which I will start doing as soon as you leave me alone."). (Also note what appears to be a flag pin!) I'd ask whether this shot will have the same effect on sales of Post-American World that photos of Posh Spice reading (or at least holding) Skinny Bitch did for that one, but Post-American has already spent most of this month in our Top 10 (currently #7, as one of the few books in the 10 not written by Stephenie Meyer).

Meanwhile, let's summarize: here we have the current frontrunner (barely) to be the 44th president of the United States (the son of a Kenyan man and an American woman, named Barack Obama), reading the top-selling current events book of the season (by an immigrant from Mumbai named Fareed Zakaria) called The Post-American World.
Wake up America! Dude's a commie!

THE AUDACITY OF BULLSHIT

So Obama's adviser is now claiming he would never meet with the bad boys without preconditions. It's amazing enough that Obama's "adviser" could lie so blatantly, but the New York Times complicity in the lie may be even more amazing.

Susan E. Rice, a former State Department and National Security Council official who is a foreign policy adviser to the Democratic candidate, said that “for political purposes, Senator Obama’s opponents on the right have distorted and reframed” his views. Mr. McCain and his surrogates have repeatedly stated that Mr. Obama would be willing to meet “unconditionally” with Mr. Ahmadinejad. But Dr. Rice said that this was not the case for Iran or any other so-called “rogue” state. Mr. Obama believes “that engagement at the presidential level, at the appropriate time and with the appropriate preparation, can be used to leverage the change we need,” Dr. Rice said. “But nobody said he would initiate contacts at the presidential level; that requires due preparation and advance work.”
"Not only did the Prince of Peace say at the YouTube debate last July that he’d meet personally and without precondition with Iran, he reaffirmed that position in November in an interview with — ta da — the New York Times, a fact, incredibly, that’s omitted from today’s article. Memory lane":
Senator Barack Obama said he would “engage in aggressive personal diplomacy” with Iran if elected president, and would offer economic inducements and a possible promise not to seek “regime change” if Iran stopped meddling in Iraq and cooperated on terrorism and nuclear issues…

Making clear that he planned to talk to Iran without preconditions, Mr. Obama emphasized further that “changes in behavior” by Iran could possibly be rewarded with membership in the World Trade Organization, other economic benefits and security guarantees…

Mr. Obama’s willingness to conduct talks at the highest level with Iran … differs significantly from the Bush administration.
And here's the Youtube clip:

These people really do think we're stupid. Oh how I'd love to debate Obama.

UPDATE: Obama's willingness to meet with Iran with NO preconditions is still posted on his website.

TOMMY CHONG CLAIMS LINK TO FBI RAIDS

Up in smoke?

Actor and comic Tommy Chong says he is linked to FBI raids Wednesday in Newport and Clermont County's Union Township.
Chong tells Local 12 federal agents were after thousands of DVD copies of a documentary he recently made.

Tommy Chong, 30 years ago, appeared in the movie that made him famous, "Up In Smoke."

But today, Tommy Chong is 69-years-old and selling a different movie, called "The United States of America Vs. Tommy Chong."

The documentary details Chong's 2003 federal prosecution and guilty plea for distributing drug paraphernalia. He was selling pot pipes online. Chong served nine months in prison.

Wednesday night, Chong told Local 12 he's the focus of an FBI raid of two, local offices. "They apparently confiscated 10,000 copies of the movie, "a/k/a Tommy Chong," said Chong.
The raids could be linked to his documentary. Or, they could be linked to his past hate speech...

SUPERFRO: OSCAR GAMBLE SURE COULD "PICK" IT

Not sure why, but this morning, I woke up thinking of Oscar Gamble. So I figured I'd write this. Lest he be forgotten.

Oscar Gamble was a former outfielder and designated hitter in Major League Baseball. He played for 17 seasons, from 1969 to 1985, on seven different teams: the Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees on two separate occasions, as well as the Chicago Cubs, Philadelphia Phillies, Cleveland Indians, San Diego Padres, and Texas Rangers. Nicknamed the Big O by Yankees announcer Phil Rizzuto, Gamble was a relatively small man, listed at 5 feet, 11 inches tall and 165 pounds. He still hit 200 career home runs in just over 4500 major league at bats, an impressive ratio for the era he played in.

Despite his hitting prowess, however, Gamble is known more for what is, without question, the largest afro the game has ever seen.

Simply put, there was no batting helmet that contain it and no ball cap that could tame it. And for an entire generation of boys, Gamble's hair stands as a symbol for all that was right with the world. Of such awe was his fro, that it was not uncommon for Gamble's baseball cards to demand a hefty, if not skewed premium, on the trading market. Tales of a 1976 Topps Gamble card being traded for 2 Pete Roses, a Steve Garvey and a fro to be named later (usually Base McBride) were not at all uncommon.

To be sure, there were other great afros in the game. The aforementioned Bake McBride, Enos Cabell, Tito Fuentes and others, but none captured the imagination of Gamble's. Gamble's fro was like a living, breathing and thinking organism. Like a chia pet with a dream. Like pond algae with a statement to make. To boys of that generation, there were only three certainties in life -- Summer, School, and Oscar Gamble's afro.

The lure and intrigue of Gamble's fro has remained with many of those who grew up during that era of baseball. For many, Gamble's afro is one of their most vivid memories of the game. So much so that an "Oscar Gamble Society" has been formed in Chicago. As best I can tell, the "Society" consists of a number of middle-aged folks who like to get together, put on afro wigs, and drink beer. And I can't think of any greater legacy that can be left by a ball player.

IS McCAIN TO OLD TO BE PRESIDENT?

This isn't the first attack by democrats on John McCain's age and it certainly won't be the last. But is particularly intriguing considering it is coming from John Murtha, who is 75 years old himself.
Presumptive Republican nominee John McCain is under fire from a Democrat in the House, but it's not for his economic policy or campaign financing. Rather, the Arizona Senator was blasted by Rep. John Murtha Wednesday for his age of 71 years, which Murtha said made him too old to be president. “This one guy running is about as old as me,” the 75-year old Pennsylvania Democrat told a union audience. “Let me tell you something, it's no old man's job.”

McCain's age has drawn concern from Republicans and Democrats alike. If elected, McCain would be the oldest first-term president, turning 72 before the inauguration. Murtha spoke at the AFL-CIO's Building Trades National Legislative Conference before introducing Democratic hopeful Hillary Clinton. “I've served with seven presidents,” Murtha told the audience. “When they come in, they all make mistakes. They all get older.”
Dude's Old
I thought it would be interesting to put our technology department to work and have them enhance some photographs to show what McCain would look like at the start of his term, and how he would look at the end of his term. This is what they came up with:

Of course, this all makes McCain's vice-president pick all the more important.

SHEIK SAYS "MUSLIMS CAN DRINK ALCOHOL"

I'm not sure the Muslim world is ready for happy hour.

CAIRO: Sheikh Youssef Al-Qaradawi, Muslim scholar known for his moderate views on religious issues, once again sparked controversy when he declared that it is permissible for Muslims to drink beverages containing a miniscule level of alcohol, in an interview that ran in the Qatari Al-Arab newspaper.

According to Al-Qaradawi, “beverages that include 0.5 percent alcohol are not prohibited in Islam because it is a very small percentage, especially if the alcohol was produced through natural fermentation over time and not added deliberately.”

However Mahmoud Ashour, one of Al-Azhar’s most prominent sheikhs and member of the Islamic Research Center, disagreed with Al-Qaradawi’s statements, explaining that Muslims are prohibited from consuming anything with fermented components.

Ashour added that anything that includes alcohol — no matter how small the percentage is — is prohibited by Islam, citing a Hadith by Prophet Mohamed (PBUH) supporting his argument.
Drunk Muslims

And then there is this. A non-alcoholic pub in England for Muslims. As ridiculous a concept as a non-alcoholic pub is, I shudder at the thought at what their ladies night must be like.
Behind the bar, there are fizzy drinks and fruit juices, including non-alcoholic spritzers and buck's fizz for those special occasions.

In addition to tea and coffee, a range of Asian snacks is available, while Islamic songs are played over loudspeakers.

Pubgoers can play snooker, darts or karam, an Indian board game similar to billiards. Islamic-themed quiz nights have also been organised.

Why Muslims need to drink

Here is where I like to say something funny and thought provoking. But after seeing that picture, I can't. I just can't.
