Now, back when our great-grandparents were riding that Underground Railroad, back when John Lewis was marching across that bridge in Selma, and Jim Clyburn was sitting in an Orangeburg jail, the injustices we faced were written in big, bold letters on the face of our laws. And while we may have had our differences over strategy, the battles we needed to fight were very clear. 

We knew that to end slavery, we needed a proclamation from our President, an amendment to our Constitution. To end segregation, we needed the Supreme Court to overturn the lie of "separate but equal." To reach the ballot box, we needed Congress to pass the Voting Rights Act. 

So we moved forward, and we won those battles. And we made progress that our parents and grandparents could never have dreamed of. 

But today, while there are no more "whites only" signs keeping us out, no one barring our children from the schoolhouse door, we know that our journey is far, far from finished. But --(applause) -- yes. But in many ways, the path forward for this next generation is far less clear. I mean, what exactly do we do about children who are languishing in crumbling schools? What about kids growing up in neighborhoods where they don't have opportunities worthy of their dreams? What about the 40 percent of black children who are overweight or obese, or the nearly one in two who are on track to develop diabetes in their lifetimes?

Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner (R-Wisc.), known for his cantankerous ways and for not speaking to media unless it’s his idea, was overheard at the Delta Crown lounge at Reagan National Airport today talking on his cellphone about an incident he said occurred three weeks ago while at an Episcopal church auction. Please note, a church auction.

Our source, a Democratic operative who heard the whole thing, said he was “very loud”. Sensenbrenner was overheard saying that after buying all their “crap” (his word) a woman approached him and praised first lady Michelle Obama. He told the woman that Michelle should practice what she preaches — “she lectures us on eating right while she has a large posterior herself.”

And just this week, there were rumblings that Michelle Obama might be going ahead to Hawaii without the President again this year.

And now this, from American Conservative:

The Globe magazine just released a bombshell and is reporting that Michelle Obama is having a "steamy secret affair" with a Secret Service Agent. According to The Globe, rumors started to circulate that Obama may be having an affair after her recent admission to NBC's Al Roker that she frequently "sneaks out" of the White House; and the ever increasing time she is spending away from the White House may be a cover to hide "a sizzling affair she's carrying on with a Secret Service agent."

According to The Globe's anonymous source: "The rumors are that she's getting it on with a Secret Service agent who is not part of her detail. ... Her frequent outings away from the White House give her and him an opportunity to get together." The source adds: "Something has been going on for a couple of months and there's no question Barack is embarrassed about her increasingly frequent excursions away from him at the White House."

The allegations are, of course, unsubstantiated and only time will tell if the allegations will fizzle or blow up into a major issue in the upcoming presidential campaign. Typically, the media will not report unsubstantiated claims from anonymous sources, but the recent media feeding frenzy over unsubstantiated allegation against businessman Herman Cain, which literally sank his candidacy, leave the question open: will the media pursue, or even bother to investigate this story?

Michelle Obama Comic Book is Coming

Oh, this has lead balloon written all over it.

Bluewater Productions of Washington says interest in the Obama comic book is sky-high, with distributors temporarily suspending orders as the Bluewater catches up with the demand, The Chicago Tribune reported Saturday.

"I feel like the guy who invented the Furby," Bluewater President Darren Davis told the newspaper. "The reaction has been insane."

The Michelle Obama comic reportedly is scheduled to be officially released April 25, selling for $3.99. The issue depicts the first lady growing up in Chicago, going to Princeton University and helping Barack Obama become the 44th U.S. president.

Can't you just imagine some of the plot lines? MO battles racist white people. MO lifts her country to great heights after battling racist white people. MO proves that racist white people never really went to the moon and then goes there herself. It should be good.

CNN Journalist Has a Crush on Obama

I guess I should point out that his crush is on Michelle Obama, not Barack. It's not like it's obvious anymore.

Fox News in Detroit featured a segment called "The Love Doctor" that focused on the relationship between President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama. After watching this, I think it may be time to begin referring to Michelle Obama as the "Fist Lady".

Michelle Obama is "Specifically Named Individual" in Blagojevich Indictment

Ace of Spades and No Quarter are reporting that it is likely that Michelle Obama is the "Specifically Named Individual" on page 64 of the Criminal Complaint against Governor Rod Blagojevich.

ROD BLAGOJEVICH said that the consultants (Advisor B and another consultant are believed to be on the call at that time) are telling him that he has to “suck it up” for two years and do nothing and give this “motherf***er [the President-elect] his senator. F**k him. For nothing? F**k him.” ROD BLAGOJEVICH states that he will put “[Senate Candidate 4]” in the Senate “before I just give f**king [Senate Candidate 1] a f**king Senate seat and I don’t get anything.” (Senate Candidate 4 is a Deputy Governor of the State of Illinois).

ROD BLAGOJEVICH stated that he needs to find a way to take the “financial stress” off of his family and that his wife is as qualified or more qualified than another specifically named individual to sit on corporate boards.

The “specifically named individual” is Michelle Obama, who was appointed to the Board of TreeHouse Foods, a WAL-MART vendor, on June 25, 2005, even though she did not have experience in the private sector previous to the appointment. Here are the benefits the Obama family received as a result of Michelle Obama’s stint with the WAL-MART vendor:

According to the couple’s tax returns, Mrs Obama earned $51,200 (£25,700) for her work as a non-executive director on Treehouse’s board last year, on top of the $271,618 salary she was paid as a vice-president of the University of Chicago Hospitals.

She also received 7,500 Treehouse stock options, worth a further $72,375, as she did the previous year, when she banked a $45,000 salary from the company.

Obama, less than a month ago called on the nation to make sacrifices, so that we can all move forward. Now, I find that he's ready to drop $30,000+ on a ring for Chaka.

Michelle Obama is to receive this £20,000 thank you from her husband for her support during the election. The Harmony ring is made of rhodium - the world's most expensive metal --and encrusted with diamonds. It is being hastily made by Italian designer Giovanni Bosco in time for January's inauguration ceremony. Only about 25 tons of rhodium are mined each year, mostly in South Africa, and as a result its price is typically around £5,000 an ounce.

And there is some question, but most likely the ring is made from materials gathered in the slave mines of South Africa.



I'm sure it will look lovely on Chaka's coconut breaking fingers. Just lovely.

I've left out the name of the police officer to protect the officer's identity and, frankly, job. You know how the Obama mob gets.

For those of you who know me, I rarely talk politics.

Those are private matters for the most part, but I just have to vent a little.

I would call myself a conservative as 99% of Policeman are, and almost always vote Republican, but I also know that they are all Politicians.

We are stuck in a quagmire of a two party system, and the non-politician independent has no chance to change this country or run this country.

I am not trying at all to dissuade your vote, but Obama has really
cheesed me off. . . . I have heard these stories of Obama making the Police and Secret Service (who protect his dumb butt) stay out of his eyesight.

Well, I learned it well Thursday, October 9th. Michelle Obama was in Clinton Twp., Michigan Thursday for a rally at our biggest High School. My department had a small role in protecting her. About 8 Officers were detailed to the School for HER security. I was offered the overtime but turned it down.

One of my Sergeants, and best buddies was assigned there. He came back infuriated. The rumors are true!!!

My Sergeant was providing security in a hallway as Mrs. Obama was moving from room to room for different reasons. He was told by the SS [DS: Secret Service] that when she came down his hall, he had to duck behind the corner and not allow her to see him. He questioned this several times to be sure he heard it right, and the SS agent (embarrassed of course) had to hide from her view, too.

It is outrageous that the persons running for the President of our
country on the Democratic side, has so much disdain for men and woman in uniform, they demand that they are kept from their view!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lets be clear. This was not in the public. This was not an Honor Guard detail standing behind her on stage in front of thousands. This was in a hallway, out of the public eye, and the Obamas refuse to even see an Officer or Soldier in their view. The Police have to hide!!!!!!!

WHY???????????? That's the scary question! What else is going on here?

No wonder he refuses to wear the flag on his suit or salute the flag.
It will be a terrible day if Obama is elected to run our country I love so much.

I already heard about this straight from the mouths of the Michigan State Police that are on their Motor Unit. They were told to "hide" behind the bus when Obama exited it so that he couldn't see them. Our (the Macomb County Sheriff's Office) Motor Unit, along with the State Police, escorted McCain when he was in town, and we were right out front, where we could proudly be seen. I don't know how you think, but the only people I have known in my career that don't want to be seen near cops are criminals....thats scary!
