Now, a giant fibreglass and copper statue of the shoe has been unveiled in Tikrit - the hometown of former dictator Saddam Hussein.Here's a video report:
It is inscribed with a poem which pays tribute to the missile-throwing journalist.

Blah..this is Saddams hometown. This is like Berkely Ca putting up a statue of Chairman Mao. It's expected.
