Report: U.S. Soldier Abducted on Mexican Border and Being Held for Political Ransom

24 year old James Gonzalez' mom and brother say that after he went through basic training, James signed up for Army Ranger school. The Robstown high school graduate was last seen by his family on Saturday. That's when he left to meet up with friends in Laredo. The family says the Army called them on Monday saying he had been abducted. His kidnappers were asking for 100-thousand dollars plus something else. They want the government to withdraw troops from along the border. The family also told us that the FBI was on the case as well.

What can be said? It's not as if Mexico has an operating government that can help us when one of ours has been seized. Mexico is obviously a failed state and we should isolate it from us as much as possible.
