This was Osama, er uh Obama, just two months ago, echoing what he told the American public during his presidential campaign:
“I think it is a top priority for us to stamp out al Qaeda once and for all,” Obama told CBS’ “60 Minutes.” “I think capturing or killing (Osama) Bin Laden is a critical aspect of stamping out Al Qaeda. He is not just a symbol, he’s also the operational leader of an organization that is planning attacks against U.S. targets.”This was Obama during his "hard-hitting interview with CBS' Katie "Maneater" Couric to be released January 20:
COURIC: How important do you think it is, Mr. President-elect, to apprehend Osama bin Laden?Other than the fact that he was elected, can someone tell me what has changed in just two months that no longer makes killing Bin Laden a top priority? Or is it as simple as Obama having lied to us? Hey douchebag! Pinned down and non-functional is exactly the current status of Obama. It has been his status for years. Yet you found it politically expedient to criticize Bush and McCain for this strategy. America, we're in for a world of hurt. A world of hurt.
OBAMA: I think that we have to so weaken his infrastructure that, whether he is technically alive or not, he is so pinned down that he cannot function. My preference obviously would be to capture or kill him. But if we have so tightened the noose that he's in a cave somewhere and can't even communicate with his operatives then we will meet our goal of protecting America.
