Note that the closer you get to the Mexican border, the markedly higher crime rates. Are Texans just violent people, or is there an illegal immigration issue going on here? On Tuesday night Avila was shot in the abdomen in the 3600 block of West Ainslie Street shortly before 8 p.m. He was then found by police on the ground in the 4900 block of North Ridgeway Avenue, approximately three blocks away.
"He was trying to get out [of the gang] and get his life back up, said Dennis Kuhn, Avila's stepfather. "It's just messed up."
Avila was the 26th Chicago Public Schools student slain this school year, tying last year's mark.

Homicide statistics between 1974 and 2004 stated that of the crimes surveyed for which the identity of the offender could be determined, 52.1% of the offenders were Black, 45.9% were White, and 2% were Other Races.
Yeah "Anon"....That's sort of the point. "Of crimes which the offender can be 'identified'". Then there's those crimes where the offender is not identified, which are crimes that are nonetheless reported. You may or may not be aware of the problem this country has with unidentified illegal aliens and the crimes they commit. Most illegal aliens aren't identified. That's how they remain here. You took this article as a condemnation of citizens of Mexican descent? If so, that was a very douche-like thing to do. You'd be only half right. It's a condemnation of "illegal" citizens of Mexican descent. A condemnation which you cannot reasonably debate. Even anonymously. Man up. Get a Google sign in name, come back, and allow me to embarrass you in front of all your friends.
