There Is A Growing Sense Of Buyer’s Remorse

Were you Democrats really so stupid, so full of hate, that you could not see this coming? I believe the answer is in the affirmative.

Let me be very clear on the economics of President Obama’s State of the Union speech and his budget.

He is declaring war on investors, entrepreneurs, small businesses, large corporations, and private-equity and venture-capital funds.

That is the meaning of his anti-growth tax-hike proposals, which make absolutely no sense at all — either for this recession or from the standpoint of expanding our economy’s long-run potential to grow.

Study after study over the past several decades has shown how countries that spend more produce less, while nations that tax less produce more. Obama is doing it wrong on both counts.

Essentially, the Obama economic policies represent a major Democratic party relapse into Great Society social spending and taxing. It is a return to the LBJ/Nixon era, and a move away from the Reagan/Clinton period. House Republicans, fortunately, are 90 days sober, as they are putting up a valiant fight to stop the big-government onslaught and move the GOP back to first principles.



Noteworthy up here on Wall Street, a great many Obama supporters — especially hedge-fund types who voted for “change” — are becoming disillusioned with the performances of Obama and Treasury man Geithner.

Well then, do conservatives dare say: We told you so?

How's That Lame Logo Working For Ya Pepsi?

Looks like the sell out got sold out.

In an apparent homage to the new President, PepsiCo has plastered the sides of buses and bus stops in the nation's capital with slogans like "Yes You Can," "Optimismmmm" and "Hope." In each poster, the letter O is inscribed with the redesigned Pepsi logo, a red, white and blue sphere that echoes the rising-sun image used by the Obama campaign.

Is Pepsi actually the choice of the Obama Administration?
My reporting at the White House suggests the answer is a resounding no. Several senior Administration officials are committed cola drinkers, and without fail they spend their days sipping from a can of Diet Coke, a product of Pepsi's chief competitor, Coca-Cola.

Just remember to boycott Pepsi. And shouldn't White House administrators be drinking water instead of cola. It's not like our health care system needs more burdens.

St. Louis Tea Party Draws 1,500 Protestors

I was there. So were many others. One of my proudest moments as an American and the first time I've ever protested anything. Despite the cold, it was a good and spirited turnout. If I have one critcism it would be that conservatives need to become better protestors. Actually, we just needed a bigger megaphone. It was hard to hear what the speakers were saying.

We ranted, we chanted, and then we walked down to the Mississippi and poured tea in the river, while all singing "God Bless America". It was a shining moment and hopefully, the start of a much larger movement.

One big note. No litter was left behind. NONE! And to add to that, not a single blade of grass was harmed.

UPDATE: I meant to point this out in the original post. About halfway through the protest a group of about 30 black students showed up at the top of steps to the arch. Looking down at the protest. I would guess they were 5th or 6 graders. They were accompanied by about 6 adults. My first thought was that they were on a field trip to the arch, but I don't recall seeing them at the arch when I arrived about half an hour before. My guess was that these kids were pawns in some sort of anti-protest organized by the adults who were with them. As if to say, "look at the poor black children you evil conservatives, do you really want to starve them?". To which my response would be, since my kids were with me, "what makes you think my kids want to work their whole lives to support your lack of ambition?".

There was no incident. The kids walked around the protest and boarded a bus that was parked on the street by the protest. No one spoke a word to them.

Taliban militants beheaded an Afghan in Pakistan's lawless tribal region after accusing him of spying for the United States, local police said today
The 35-year-old man was kidnapped one week ago and his body found today in Razmak some 65km south of Miranshah, the main town in North Waziristan, an official said.

"He was slaughtered overnight. His headless body was put on the roadside," police official Munir Khan said.

A note found on the body of the man, identified as Shafiq Gul, said he was "spying for the US".

"Whoever spies for the US will face the same fate. This is a gift to (US President Barack) Obama," the note said.

Obama Promised that the World Would Love Us Again - Anti-U.S. Attacks in Sweden

Barack Obama promised to restore America's image abroad. It's been a month and not one foreigner has sent me a candy-gram. From BBC News:

Three supermarkets have been destroyed and a fourth damaged in central Sweden in what police say might have been a series of anti-American arson attacks.

Swedish Radio reports that Global Intifada had recently distributed leaflets in Sodertalje encouraging the public to firebomb shops selling American products.

The US embassy in Stockholm has been in contact with the police and has advised people to exercise "caution while shopping and be attentive to suspicious behaviour", Swedish media report.

I reckon Obama's gonna have to give another one of them speeches on tolerance.

Mexican Mayor Lives in United States Because Mexico is too Violent

Police are investigating threats against Juárez Mayor Jose Reyes Ferriz, who moved his family to El Paso for safety, El Paso police Detective Carlos Carrillo said Monday.

"We received information that the Juárez mayor lives in El Paso, and that possibly they were going to come to El Paso to get him," Carrillo said. "He has not asked us for our help, but it's our duty to protect any resident of our city who may be under threat."

Juárez police said written threats against Reyes Ferriz and his family were left in different parts of Juárez after the police chief, Roberto Orduña Cruz, resigned Friday. The threats were written on the kind of banners and posters that the Juárez drug cartel has used to send messages to police and others.

Are this man and his family here legally? That's a question that needs an answer. It is way past time to clamp down on the Mexicanization of America. It's beyond the scenario of decent folks just looking for work. They're bringing their drug and gang culture with them.

Take this story into account in light of the Mexican drug cartel kidnappings that are taking place in the Phoenix area. This is MAJOR issue. And one that no politician dares touch out of fear of losing the Hispanic vote.

Sen. Boxer Wants UN to Tell You How to Raise Your Children

Stoicism in the face of adversity. Resist this with every fiber of your being.

Sen. Barbara Boxer is urging the U.S. to ratify a United Nations measure meant to expand the rights of children, a move critics are calling a gross assault on parental rights that could rob the U.S. of sovereignty.

The California Democrat is pushing the Obama administration to review the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child, a nearly 20-year-old international agreement that has been foundering on American shores since it was signed by the Clinton administration in 1995 but never ratified.

Critics say the treaty, which creates "the right of the child to freedom of thought, conscience and religion" and outlaws the "arbitrary or unlawful interference with his or her privacy," intrudes on the family and strips parents of the power to raise their children without government interference.

Nearly every country in the world is party to it -- only the U.S. and Somalia are not -- but the convention has gained little support in the U.S. and never been sent to the Senate for ratification.

That could change soon.

Here's what ratification of this "convention" would mean. From HSLDA:

The Convention Would Give Children the “Right” to Disregard Parental Authority

Severe Limitations Placed on the Parents’ Right to Train Their Children

Under Article 13, any attempts to prevent their children from interacting with material parents deem unacceptable is forbidden. Children are vested with a “ freedom of expression” right, which is virtually absolute. No allowance is made for parental guidance. Section 1 declares a child’s right to “seek, receive and impart information and ideas of all kinds, regardless of frontiers, either orally, in writing or in print, in the form of art, or through any other media of the child’s choice.”

In Article 14, children are guaranteed “ freedom of thought, conscience and religion.” Children have a legal right to object to all religious training. Alternatively, children may assert their right against parental objection to participate in the occult.

Article 15 declares “the right of the child to freedom of association.” Parents could be prevented from forbidding their child to associate with people deemed to be objectionable companions. Under Article 15, children could claim a “fundamental” right to join gangs, cults, and racist organizations over parental objection.

The Convention Would Entrench the Right of Teenagers to Abort Their Babies

Under Article 16, the “right to privacy” is granted to children. This UN sanctioned “privacy” would seemingly establish as the child’s right to obtain an abortion without parental notice, the right to purchase and use contraceptives, and the right to pornography in the home.

Raila Odinga has, in his own words, a "close personal friendship" with Barrack Hussein Obama Junior.

I guess these people missed the point. It's GLOBAL warming. You cannot run. You cannot hide. This very strange report from the Washington Post:

Adam Fier recently sold his home, got rid of his car and pulled his twin 6-year-old girls out of elementary school in Montgomery County. He and his wife packed the family's belongings and moved to New Zealand -- a place they had never visited or seen before, and where they have no family or professional connections. Among the top reasons: global warming.

Fier, 38, a computer security professional who used to work at NASA, said he thought hard about the risks of global climate change. He knew moving to a new country would be difficult but thought that the dangers of staying in the United States were worse. Several years ago, he drew up a list of countries and studied how they might fare over the next century. He examined their environmental policies, access to natural resources and whether they would be safe from conflict. He decided that New Zealand would offer a comparable quality of life, has an excellent environmental record and is isolated from global conflicts by large tracts of the Pacific Ocean. Its tropical, subtropical, temperate and arctic zones also offer a variety of "bioenvironments" as a hedge against the vagaries of climate change.

Now, if we can only get the other 63 million people who voted for Obama to do this.

How ridiculous. Well, I'm not going quietly. As a matter fact, when I'm done eating, I plan on driving around town aimlessly. These people will feel the carbon footprint of my jackboot.

John Gibson Warns the Huffington Post to Lawyer Up

If you're not familiar with the story, here's some very brief background:

A Baltimore television reporter has lost his job after acknowledging that he doctored a video to make it appear that Fox News Radio host John Gibson had made a racial slur.

In the bogus video, which was picked up across the Internet, Gibson seemed to be comparing Attorney General Eric Holder to a monkey with a "bright blue scrotum." There had been chatter on Fox News earlier about such a monkey, which had escaped from a Seattle zoo.

Gibson, who had actually been discussing Holder's comment about America being a "nation of cowards" on racial issues, said in an interview that the fake story has had a "personal" impact on him. "Jeez, people will believe anything," he said. "These days it's really dangerous on the Internet. These things go viral, and people don't see the correction and the mea culpa. You can't un-ring the bell."

Well, it seems Mr. Gibson is not taking this laying down. And I don't blame him a bit.

Charles Freeman, Obama’s reported pick for chairman of the National Intelligence Council, talked business with the Bin Laden family even after September 11.

Amid the criticism that has already emerged about President Obama's reported pick for the powerful position of chairman of the National Intelligence Council, there is a yet unmentioned problem that is likely cause even bigger troubles: He had business ties to the bin Laden family after 9/11.

Charles “Chas” Freeman, a former U.S. ambassador to Saudi Arabia, had business connections with the bin Laden family and their Saudi Binladin Group, a multi-billion dollar construction conglomerate founded by the father of Osama bin Laden. As chairman of Projects International, Inc., a company that develops international business deals, Mr. Freeman asserted in an interview with the Associated Press less than a month after September 11 that he was still “discussing proposals with the Bin Laden Group—and that won't change.”

This is the height of irresponsibility. Is there anyone in his administration that isn't tainted with the stink of corruption or treason?

Although Lawrence Summers, head of the National Economic Council, fell asleep on the podium, most attendees, including Republicans, appear to have appreciated the exercise. There was even some light-heartedness.

What Is Behind Obama's Willingness to Give Others Your Money? - The Roots of Obama's Free Spending Ways

What is at the root of Obama's willingness to give away your money to others? The easy answer would be his socialist leanings as were made clear to everyone during the campaign. And undoubtedly, those socialist leanings are a part of the answer. But only to the extent that his socialist policies provide the vehicle for his ultimate goal. And what is that goal? Nothing short of the transfer of white wealth to the black community. Witness...

In this interview (conducted in 1995 as part of a promotion for his book 'Dreams of My Father"), Obama admits his Redistribution of Wealth is to SAVE the African American community SO HE CAN ENSURE HIS OWN SALVATION! (and Our Countries Salvation) He compares the plight of African Americas to the ethic genocide's of Bosnia and Africa. He blames all of African American's problems on "ONE GROUP" who suppresses them. And He says WHITE people don't want their taxes to help black children.



His precise words were:

"I worked as a community organizer in Chicago. I was very active in low income neighborhoods, uh, working on issues of crime and education and employment, uh, and seeing that in some ways certain portions of the African-American community, uh, are doing as bad, if not worse, and recognizing that my fate remained tied up with their fates, that, uh, that my individual salvation, uh, is not going to come about without a collective salvation for the country. Um, Unfortunately, I think that recognition, uh, requires that we make sacrifices, and this country has not always been willing to make the sacrifices necessary to bring about a new day and the new age."

To which he added:

"In the last year, African-Americans have lost their jobs at a faster rate than at any time in a quarter century. That's a wrong that needs to be made right. Unfortunately, we've got caught up in ideological battle where one party says, the only way to create job opportunities is through the marketplace and governments should not be involved at all, whereas my argument would be we also have to make sure that people are trained for jobs, that they've got child care, uh, so that they can go to a job, that there's affordable housing in those areas where jobs are being created, that entrepreneurs in minority communities are getting financing to create their own businesses and to create jobs in those communities, and all of those involve not just individual responsibility, but also societal responsibility."

Now couple those words with what we know about Obama and his religion. And by that I mean his real religion. The one he adhered to at Trinity United Church in Chicago under the guidance of Jeremiah Wright, before the media outed him and he pretended to throw that religion under the bus.

Some background on Black Liberation Theology. Black Liberation Theology is based on a condemnation of white people that far predates America and its institution of slavery and racism and thus, far predates the "black experience" often used as a justification for the "resentment" held by black America and the hate teachings of Obama's mentor (and presumably those who worship for 20 years under such hate preachers). James Cone, the founder of Black Theology, and the Reverend Wright make that very clear in their teachings. Obama's religion is one that bases its condemnation of white people on events that occurred in biblical times.

Reverend Wright (Obama's mentor) spewed the following:

"Jesus was a poor black man who lived who lived in a country and who lived in a culture that was controlled by rich white people.

The Romans were rich. The Romans were Italians which means they were European which means they were white. And the Romans ran everything which was in Jesus's country.

It just came to me within the past few weeks y'all why so many folks are hating on Barack Obama. He doesn't fit the model. He ain't white. He ain't rich and he ain't privileged.

Hillary fits the mold. Europeans fit the mold. Giuliani fits the mold. White men fit the mold."

James Cone, founder of black liberation theology, and often cited by Reverend Wright as the authority for his teachings, wrote the following in his 1969 book "Black Theology and Black Power"

"Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill Gods who do not belong to the black community. Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy. What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject his love."

Barack Obama has spent much of his adult life worshiping in a church of Black Liberation Theology. That church, Trinity United of Chicago, before they were removed, once had on its website certain tenets that comprised what they referred to as "Black Value System" (the same system we can rationally assume, considering he went to the church for 20 years, that Obama supported). Those tenets were as follows:

1. Commitment to God
2. Commitment to the Black Community
3. Commitment to the Black Family
4. Dedication to the Pursuit of Education
5. Dedication to the Pursuit of Excellence
6. Adherence to the Black Work Ethic
7. Commitment to Self-Discipline and Self-Respect
8. Disavowal of the Pursuit of “Middleclassness”
9. Pledge to make the fruits of all developing and acquired skills available to the Black Community
10. Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for Strengthening and Supporting Black Institutions
11. Pledge allegiance to all Black leadership who espouse and embrace the Black Value System
12. Personal commitment to embracement of the Black Value System.

Now. Given what you have just read about Obama's church of 20 years and the religious principles of that church and Black Liberation Theology, Obama's comments in the above interview do not seem so strange. Indeed, there is no reason to believe he meant anything other than what he said. This is a man who truly believes that his own salvation is intertwined with the fate of the black community. That belief is evident in the tenets of the religion he practices (when he practices). But more so, it's evident in his own words as spoken in the above interview. And what of that salvation? And what is it that he intends to do to change the fate of the black community? The answer, also evident in his own words, is clear. He seeks to transfer white wealth to the black community. And the means by which he intends to do so are readily becoming apparent to all of us.

The Stimulus Bill is nothing short of the largest transfer of wealth in human history. And without question, the beneficial aspects of the Stimulus Bill (short term as they will prove to be) are overwhelmingly disproportionate in favor of minorities, particularly the black community. Rest assured, however, that this is just the beginning. Obama has much more planned to ensure his salvation. And that can only mean the further transfer of white wealth to the black community.

Is Obama's Goal Directed Chaos?

Joseph Farah proffers the following in an article at World Net Daily:

But it has been thought out. I want you to know that. This program, along with the whole of the so-called "stimulus" bill, has been considered carefully. No member of Congress may have read the bill. But that bill was written by someone. The programs it creates have been in the works for years. Money is being handed out to people who helped get Obama and the Democrats elected. Groups like ACORN, the shock troops and brown shirts of their movement, are being paid off with billions of dollars.

It has all been planned. And the goal is not to help the economy. The goal is to achieve chaos, because chaos leads to more government control – and that's what Obama and the Democratic Congress want more than anything.

They don't believe they should be bothered with elections or dissent or any of the nuisances of a free society. They believe they deserve perpetual power, because they are part of the enlightened elite.

They know socialism hasn't worked anywhere it's been tried. But they also believe they can do better. They can make it work, because they are smarter than the guys who have bungled it in the past.

In the meantime, prepare for chaos.

Mr. Farah's points should be well taken. I have said many times that a man cannot sell a message of hope until he has sold a message of fear. Mr. Farah's "directed chaos" theory speaks directly to that notion. I have to say, I underestimated Obama and his henchman. My thoughts were that the message of fear would end shortly after he achieved his goal - being elected President. I underestimated Obama's willingness to overreach and further his agenda at such a rapid pace. But that underestimation was based more on a faith in the American people than any lack of understanding of Obama's ultimate goals. I really didn't think that the American people could become so afraid, so fast, I was wrong. And Obama has seized on this explosion of fear, chaos if you will, and is pushing his marxist, power-perpetuating agenda at breakneck speed. We haven't even had time to blink and look what has happened to America. We have had our money and the money of our children and grandchildren stolen from us for no other purpose than for Obama to redistribute it to his minions and thereby solidify his populist/socialist power base. And it was done before any effective opposition could even be contemplated, let alone organized and implemented.

Russian Warship Sinks Chinese Freighter

I know it's wishful thinking, but...FIGHT!!!

The Russian Coast Guard sank a Chinese coastal freighter, the New Star, on February 15th, after the ship left the Russian Pacific port of Nakhodka without permission. The New Star arrived in Nakhodka nearly three weeks ago, with a cargo of rice. But the firm that purchased the rice complained that the cargo was of low quality, and demanded a lower price. The Russian buyer went to local officials, and got the government to forbid the New Star from leaving until the matter was settled. Caught in the middle of this dispute between the Chinese rice broker and the Russian buyer, the Hong Kong owner of the New Star ordered the captain to leave port anyway.

When the Russian Coast Guard was notified, they sent a patrol ship out to bring the New Star back. The Russian patrol boat caught up with the New Star, about 80 kilometers from Nakhodka, and ordered the Chinese ship to return to port. The Chinese ship refused, and eventually the Russians opened fire with a 30mm auto-cannon. After several hours, 515 30mm shells were fired into the hull of the New Star, causing it to take on water and begin to sink. While getting off the New Star, eight of the crew died when one of the two life rafts flipped over in rough seas. The other eight members of the crew were picked up by a Russian Coast Guard ship.

This is reported like it's an everyday occurrence. The Russian Military is settling minor trade disputes? I would say that's a bit of a trade imbalance.

29 Years Ago Today - Do You Believe in Miracles?

Hard to imagine it's been so long. 29 years ago today the United States of America amateur hockey team defeated a team of Russian professionals during the winter Olympics in what has to be the greatest upset in sports history. It lifted a nation. It was nothing short of surreal.

This video is a newly discovered original call of the game by Curt Chaplin who was covering the game as a sports reporter for the ABC Radio Network. Standing on a camera platform in the crowd, he did play-by-play of the entire game into his tape recorder, capturing the event on tape forever. Now, after 25 years, these tapes have been rediscovered and matched to the video.



Reading the write up on Youtube about how this video was put together, many thanks go out to Curt Chaplin, the man who was calling this game. It sounds as if he were there all by himself as ABC did not broadcast the game live on TV. It was tape-delayed. As I kid, I guess I didn't know this. Mr. Chaplin is an unsung hero in this story.

Was Chandra Levy Murdered by an Illegal Alien?

Wouldn't this just be something? I have people tell me all the time about how the illegal immigration issue is a trumped issue used only for political purposes. That's a convenient line of thinking, until someone you love is brutally murdered by one of these "non-issues". From Law Enforcement Examiner:

This past weekend, the mainstream news media were breathlessly reporting that an arrest of a Salvadorian immigrant for killing a young Washington, DC woman named Chandra Levy is imminent.

The case originally received so much media attention that she became a household name. While the media continue their fascination with this case, they have -- for the most part -- failed to identify the suspect as an illegal alien already locked up in prison for previous attacks on American women, preferring to call him an immigrant or a Salvadorian National.

This article only seems to raise the question of whether or not Ms. Levy's killer was an illegal alien. I could not find where they provided an answer. I suppose that's because that while they may be certain that the man arrested is an illegal alien, we are not yet certain he is Ms. Levy's killer. We are certain,. however, that this illegal immigrant has already caused major damage in our society. From ABC News:

Police investigating the 2001 “cold case” murder of Washington intern Chandra Levy plan to seek a warrant for the arrest of a convicted felon, currently serving jail time, who has emerged as the primary suspect in the Levy case.

The suspect, Ingmar Guandique, has been in jail since approximately July 2001 for two nonfatal attacks on women in the city's Rock Creek Park in Washington, D.C., where Levy's body was discovered in 2002.

Guandique attacked a woman two weeks after Chandra's disappearance in the middle of May 2001, and another in July. The women were jogging in Rock Creek Park when he "clotheslined" them and dragged them down a hill. There was a struggle, they escaped and he ultimately was caught and pleaded guilty.

Guandique is now serving a 10-year sentence at the U.S. Penitentiary-Victorville in Adelanto, Calif., and is eligible for parole in 2011. The FBI most likely wants to close the case before his parole date, Brad Garrett tells ABC News.

I should point out that the ABC News article failed to mention that Guandique is an illegal immigrant. That shouldn't surprise you. The Washington Post, however, reports on Guandique's immigration status:

The day Chandra disappeared, May 1, 2001, Ingmar A. Guandique, a 19-year-old illegal Salvadoran immigrant, did not show up for his construction job. Around that time, he went to stay with his former landlady, Sheila Phillips Cruz, the manager of an apartment building on Somerset Place NW. Cruz noticed that Guandique looked like he had been in a bad fight, his face battered and bruised. He had a fat lip, a bloody blemish in his eye and scratches around his throat.

A 2006 report claimed that illegal aliens commit 12 murders a day in America. I seem to recall the report being scoffed at. Regardless of that report's accuracy, any murder by an illegal alien is unacceptable. And shame on anyone who claims this issue is one only of political opportunism. How dare you label these people as political opportunity!

Everyone Crap Your Pants - Climate War is Coming

People. Haven't we had enough of the scare tactics employed by those purporting to be smarter than us? Here's today "the sky is falling" report. This "economic thinker" suggests an extended world war if we fail to deal with climate change. From Yahoo News:

If we don't deal with climate change decisively, "what we're talking about then is extended world war," the eminent economist said.

His audience Saturday, small and elite, had been stranded here by bad weather and were talking climate. They couldn't do much about the one, but the other was squarely in their hands. And so, Lord Nicholas Stern was telling them, was the potential for mass migrations setting off mass conflict.

If the world's nations act responsibly, Stern said, they will achieve "zero-carbon" electricity production and zero-carbon road transport by 2050 — by replacing coal power plants with wind, solar or other energy sources that emit no carbon dioxide, and fossil fuel-burning vehicles with cars running on electric or other "clean" energy.

Then warming could be contained to a 2-degree-Celsius (3.4-degree-Fahrenheit) rise this century, he said.

But if negotiators falter, if emissions reductions are not made soon and deep, the severe climate shifts and sea-level rises projected by scientists would be "disastrous."

Can you imagine such a war? America's global warming nutroots in pitched battle with the global warming nutroots of continental Europe. One side fighting for the sacred right to recycle. The other fighting to control the world's carbon credits. Enough of this crap. Smoke em' while you got em'.

Well it's About Time - South Carolina Senator Calls for a Street Revolution

I cannot agree more with Senator Jim DeMint. Regarding the recent Stimulus Bill, DeMint was quoted in the Augusta Chronicle as saying:

"I would think it's time to start thinking about peaceful demonstrations," he told us last week.

Seriously?

"Seriously.

"The power of the people is there. Freedom is in the people's hands right now, and it's about to slip through."

"People don't need to look to Washington. It's the people's government. And the people are going to have to take it back. They can do it with their voices and with their votes -- and they may have to do it with their legs. People are going to have to show that they're not going to take it anymore."

Well bravo Senator DeMint. And just for you...

The beginning of a protest movement against Barack Obama's redistributive policies is underway. Though still small, every movement starts somewhere. While called the "Tea Party" after the Boston Tea Party, this movement is similar to movements throughout history where the producers of society refuse to have their property and income confiscated.

This movement can succeed if it does not stop at protest and includes changes in economic behavior. Obama's redistributive plans require higher taxation, but higher tax plans (to be announced this week by Obama) are based on the fallacy that the "rich" will not change their economic behavior in reaction to higher tax rates.

History tells us, however, that economic redistribution plans fail because the producers of society would rather not produce, than have the fruits of their production taken away and given to others. Obama can raise the tax rates on income, but he cannot force people to generate income to be taxed. People may just say "no." This resistance will not come from evading taxes, but from evading taxable income. In the end, as must all economic redistributors, Obama either will have to resort to repressive measures, or he will have to abandon his redistributive plans.

The States that Caused the Financial Crisis - Obama Country is Foreclosure Country

A new report has surfaced that links the financial crisis to five particular states. The report indicates that mortgage woes are not necessarily a "national problem" as Obama states, but rather, a phenomenon peculiar to these specific states. From the NY Post:

The beneficiaries of taxpayer charity will be highly concentrated in just five states - California, Nevada, Arizona, Florida and Michigan. That is not because the subsidized homeowners are poor (Californians with $700,000 mortgages are not poor), but because they took on too much debt, often by refinancing in risky ways to "cash out" thousands more than the original loan. Nearly all subprime loans were for refinancing, not buying a home.

What this shows is that the rest of the country is paying for the irresponsibility of a small number of people in very select areas. I'm not condemning the responsible folks of the "foreclosure five", but clearly, there's something in the water of these places.

Amnesty International Shocked by Hillary's Stance on Human Rights in China

Shocked huh? Well get used to it my misguided, liberal, nutroot friends. Obama's foreign policy is modeled after China's. Which is to say, it is a policy without demands of morality, civility or humanity. It is a policy of economics without strings attached. Hillary's stance on China is just the tip of the Iceberg. See Obama's stance on Iran, Cuba, Venezuela, etc.

Amnesty International and a pro-Tibet group voiced shock Friday after US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton vowed not to let human rights concerns hinder cooperation with China.

Paying her first visit to Asia as the top US diplomat, Clinton said the United States would continue to press China on long-standing US concerns over human rights such as its rule over Tibet.

"But our pressing on those issues can't interfere on the global economic crisis, the global climate change crisis and the security crisis," Clinton told reporters in Seoul just before leaving for Beijing.

The Obama approach is plucked straight from the Chinese playbook. It is the Chinese model not to demand democracy, freedom or even human rights of its trading partners. This allows China to build powerful trade alliances with dictators and other despots. To the Chinese, the bottom line is the bottom line. And this is the policy that the Obama administration has embarked upon. So, liberals are just going to have to shut their pie holes and accept that their Messiah is not going to demand decency or civility, and certainly not humanity of nations with whom he seeks an economic alliance.
